Philips strengthens LED portfolio to deliver greater customer choice

September 10, 2012

London, UK – This month Philips further expands its LED portfolio with a selection of new products and range extensions designed for the professional market. Amongst the new solutions are a selection of outdoor luminaires, enhancing Philips’s road and street lighting offering, whilst the CoreLine range has been extended to deliver even more affordable choice for installers.

CoreLine – the clear choice for LED

Whether for a new building or renovation of an existing space, customers want lighting solutions that provide quality of light and substantial energy and maintenance savings. The CoreLine range provides a cost effective LED solution that does just that. This month Philips is extending the range to include the brand new CoreLine LED Spot,  which offers an easy switch to LED and in particular an affordable replacement for halogen.  Ideal application areas include retail,  hospitality, offices and also residential. The CoreLine LED Spot is fire rated and available in a choice of IP ratings, allowing use in bathrooms.

Designed specifically for the trade channel, the CoreLine LED Spot has a twist and lock mechanism for easy installation. The lamp in this LED spot can also be replaced. Initially there is a choice of lamps, the MASTER LEDspot GU10 4W, equivalent to a 35W halogen and with a lifetime of 25,000 hours, or the MASTER LEDspot GU10 6W, equivalent to a 50W halogen and with a lifetime of 40,000 hours. The inclusion of these leading retrofit lamps ensures users benefit from reliability and increased dimming performance. Available in two finishes (satin nickel and white) and two colour temperatures, CoreLine LED Spot delivers excellent light distribution and colour quality over the lamps lifetime.

Upgrades to PowerBalance and CoreView Panel

Philips’ most energy-efficient office norm-compliant LED luminaire has been upgraded and an even high efficacy version is now available. The new PowerBalance is 40% more energy efficient than the standard version resulting in significantly lower operational costs and ensuring an attractive payback.

The affordable CoreView Panel LED luminaire range is also now available in two colour temperatures, 4000K and 3000K.

StyliD, enhancing the shopping experience.

Retailers are having to contend with rising energy prices. At the same time, they need to retain quality of light and flexibility in order to catch the customer’s eye. The latest addition to the StyliD range, StyliD Intelligent White, delivers a high output of tunable and dimmable white light, enabling retailers to enhance the colours of merchandise on display in a natural manner. Creating a thousand shades of white light, StyliD Intelligent White is available in recessed and semi-recessed versions.

Also ideal for the retail sector are StyliD Compact and StyliD Compact Power. With an extremely high light flux and long lifetime these new CRI90 versions show colours in their true form, which is the perfect sustainable solution for retail.
