London, UK – This month Philips further expands its LED portfolio with a selection of new products and range extensions designed for the professional market. Amongst the new solutions are a selection of outdoor luminaires, enhancing Philips’s road and street lighting offering, whilst the CoreLine range has been extended to deliver even more affordable choice for installers.
CoreLine – the clear choice for LED
Whether for a new building or renovation of an existing space, customers want lighting solutions that provide quality of light and substantial energy and maintenance savings. The CoreLine range provides a cost effective LED solution that does just that. This month Philips is extending the range to include the brand new CoreLine LED Spot, which offers an easy switch to LED and in particular an affordable replacement for halogen. Ideal application areas include retail, hospitality, offices and also residential. The CoreLine LED Spot is fire rated and available in a choice of IP ratings, allowing use in bathrooms.
Designed specifically for the trade channel, the CoreLine LED Spot has a twist and lock mechanism for easy installation. The lamp in this LED spot can also be replaced. Initially there is a choice of lamps, the MASTER LEDspot GU10 4W, equivalent to a 35W halogen and with a lifetime of 25,000 hours, or the MASTER LEDspot GU10 6W, equivalent to a 50W halogen and with a lifetime of 40,000 hours. The inclusion of these leading retrofit lamps ensures users benefit from reliability and increased dimming performance. Available in two finishes (satin nickel and white) and two colour temperatures, CoreLine LED Spot delivers excellent light distribution and colour quality over the lamps lifetime.
Upgrades to PowerBalance and CoreView Panel
Philips’ most energy-efficient office norm-compliant LED luminaire has been upgraded and an even high efficacy version is now available. The new PowerBalance is 40% more energy efficient than the standard version resulting in significantly lower operational costs and ensuring an attractive payback.
The affordable CoreView Panel LED luminaire range is also now available in two colour temperatures, 4000K and 3000K.
StyliD, enhancing the shopping experience.
Retailers are having to contend with rising energy prices. At the same time, they need to retain quality of light and flexibility in order to catch the customer’s eye. The latest addition to the StyliD range, StyliD Intelligent White, delivers a high output of tunable and dimmable white light, enabling retailers to enhance the colours of merchandise on display in a natural manner. Creating a thousand shades of white light, StyliD Intelligent White is available in recessed and semi-recessed versions.
Also ideal for the retail sector are StyliD Compact and StyliD Compact Power. With an extremely high light flux and long lifetime these new CRI90 versions show colours in their true form, which is the perfect sustainable solution for retail.
Philips bolsters Outdoor LED offering
This autumn sees the launch of a number of new LED solutions for road and street lighting; ClearWay, Selenium LED, MileWide2 and Freestreet.
ClearWay is a road lighting LED luminaire suited to residential road cities and streets featuring highly efficient LEDGINE-based technology. Delivering excellent white light quality and up to 75 lumens per watt alongside built in controls The ClearWay is an affordable LED Road luminaire that offers a great first step onto the LED lighting ladder.
Ideal for urban roads and streets is the Selenium LED. This outdoor luminiare offers an easy to install white light solution featuring LEDGINE based technology that delivers uniform light distribution over its lifetime of 60,000 hours.
Retaining Milewide’s pure design, it’s successor features a LEDGINE module. The Milewide2 blends clean, simple design with high performance. Multi-layer optics provide a uniform light distribution with reduced glare, allowing direct replacement of HID solutions without compromising on spacing, mounting height or light quality.
The contemporary FreeStreet lighting system has been designed to eliminate traditional streetlight poles and instead connects a number of compact LED module along narrow cables. The smooth transition from cable to module creates an unobtrusive design during daytime and aims to de-clutter busy urban areas.
Beyond luminiares, this month’s Philips launch line-up includes DynaVision PROG Medium Wattage XTREME, a new driver designed for urban roads and street lighting as well as residential areas. Delivering durability, reliability and ensuring no flicker lighting, the XTREME driver has a lifetime of 20 years and is fully controllable and customisable via external DALI and 6 integral control programmes.
Also new to the Philips Outdoor portfolio is ArchiPoint iColor Powercore. A daylight-visible, exterior rated LED point of light, ideally suited for a range of direct view and beacon applications. Featuring Powercore technology, it is possible to individually control every point in an installation enabling real design flexibility .
Strengthening Philips’ amenity and area lighting solutions, the Mini 300 LED Gen2 builds upon the success of the previous LED version. Incorporating LEDGINE technology offering increased efficacy of up to 97lm/W, this state of the art luminaire features movement detection, daylight sensor and master/slave options which are fully controllable from ground level using smart phone or laptop via Bluetooth.
Philips extends its controls portfolio with 3 new easy to use products this Autumn: iColor Player, SceneManager and StoreManager. iColor Player is a simple, highly compact and affordable control solution with six configurable effects that create an inspiring light show.
Specifically designed for bars & restaurants , SceneManager, with smooth and reliable dimming, helps provide that perfect guest experience while minimising energy usage.
For retail environments such as supermarkets, StoreManager is a lighting controls technology that embraces a retailer’s environmental responsibilities while providing flexible multisite control.
