Philips Sonicare DiamondClean Sonic electric toothbrush HX9371/04 5 modes 1 brush head Glass charger, travel case USB travel charger is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 440.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Over engineered This product has been over engineered, the glass is really a frippery, I wonder how many houses have bathrooms with shaver points, where they could place it permanently? The glass, would have been better replaced by another brush head. Also, why doesn't the travel case allow charging by say a mobile phone charger cable? Thus saving having to take yet another cable with you! Why is the charger base not charged using the usb cable? Yet more over engineering! And yet another cable not really necessary. All in my mind making the product more expensive than necessary.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stylish and super efficient! My previous DiamondClean stopped working so for a week I was having to use a manual toothbrush and hated it!! I found the black edition on the internet and thought how stylish it looked. I couldn't wait to get it - and wasn't disappointed. It totally delivers what it promises - I get comments all the time about how white my teeth are. They also feel really smooth all the time which is why I couldn't wait for this replacement one to arrive. I can not recommend highly enough! This is my second DiamondClean and third Philips electric toothbrush!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Premature failure of expensive product My Philips Diamond has helped me maintain dental hygiene that avoids need for expensive dental treatments. Very disappointed this very expensive top of the range product should fail prematurely (other less expensive Philips used by wife is many years older and I now have to share it!) The problem, first thought to be a charging issue, was that pressure on the driving shaft was resulting in intermittent contact of the motor. Philips could not arrange repair but did not advise which of the current handles might provide an alternative fit and avoid need to scrap expensive glass, induction charge and USB charge units.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic product I had the previous version and this surpasses it, the only niggle that I find annoying is that if you wash the tooth brush after use and you want to quickly turn it on and off to remove and excess water you have to go through all the options, maybe the next one have a push and hold function for a few seconds and it turns itself off after say 10 seconds.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Style Over Substance I was very hopeful when I bought this toothbrush, being the most expensive electric toothbrush on the market I was expecting a lot. I admit it does do a good job of cleaning your teeth, and I like the new design of brush head, it seems very effective. The problem is, it's as though they put this toothbrush into production without actually trying to use it first. The handle has a plastic smooth satin finish, which looks nice, but is really slippery and difficult to keep hold of. My previous Sonicare had a rubberized grip on the handle and I could use it effectively with quite a light touch, but with this one I have to grip it very firmly to try and stop it sliding through my hand, I have nearly dropped it several times so far. It only has one button, it needs two. Using only one button you have to turn it on first then cycle through the different modes while it is running. Anyone who has used an electric toothbrush before knows that you must have it in your mouth before turning it on, or else toothpaste goes everywhere. So, in order to cycle through the modes to select the one you want, you need to have the toothbrush in your mouth, be in front of a mirror, turn the toothbrush so you can see the display in the mirror while ensuring the brush head is still inside your mouth, and then read the writing of the display as a mirror image. Simple eh ? My previous Sonicare had two buttons, you could select the mode before turning it on, this was very simple and effective. Don't get me wrong, there are many features of this toothbrush that I like, such as being able to charge it in the travel case with a USB cable, and the fact that it does give a very good clean. I just don't see how I can ever be truly happy with it when it has those two major design flaws, especially when I have spent so much money. I suppose I could glue some rubber to the handle, and learn to count my way through the different modes, but at that price I really don't expect to have to start modifying a product to make it usable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent toothbrush this design is sleek and has a slimmer handle than the old sonicare toothbrushes and is therefore much easier to use. it also has a smooth action and gives superclean results. The battery charge lasts ages and the travel case is ideal. I would definitely recommend this product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fantastic toothbrush but died after 26 months Expensive for a toothbrush, but it does do a fantastic job. You only get one set of adult teeth so it's well worth looking after them. However, just two months after the two year warranty expired so did the tooth brush :( I'm an engineer, so I had it apart to see if I could repair it and found that the seal around the stem which holds the brush head had perished, liqiud had entered the body causing it to fail - beyond repair. I checked out the competition, the Sonicare was still rated / reviewed as the best on the market. But the latest 'Top of the range' model is getting marked down on the 'Smart app' features which are said to be more of a gimmic and a waste of time, which no one uses once the novelty has worn off after a few uses. So I opted for the same model once again. As I said earlier, It is a an excellent toothbrush, just hope that the seal lasts more than 26 months this time.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Two broken toothbrushes in less than 2 years This is product has been much worse than the entry level version in every way... The first toothbrush started leaking orange scum out of the power button after about a year. The button is a visibly bad design, as it has a gap around it that allows water and toothpaste to seep inside, so over time limescale and scum builds up. Eventually, when we press the button, stuff oozes out. We got a warranty replacement for this, and in less than a year, the metal spike that the heads attach onto became very loose, so we're now without an operable toothbrush. On top of these problems, approximately one in every 4 toothbrush heads we buy doesn't fit perfectly onto the spike and has to be forced down, which may be the cause of the wobbly spike problem. But also, these ill-fitting heads make the toothbrush INCREDIBLY noisy when it's running. The heads for the DiamondClean are very expensive, and the noisy ones are so bad we tend to just throw them away immediately, meaning you get no use out of the faulty ones at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic toothbrush This is by far the most outstanding powerful tooth brush I have ever tried. It's pricey but worth every penny. I just saw my dentist for the first time in 4 years and had no tartar or plaque. It cleans with great power and you feel so very clean afterwards. Nothing compares. I have given my daughter's one toothbrush each and they love theirs as much as I do. My brother who lives in Hollywood CA recommended me this sonic marvel as his dentist had said it was the best toothbrush on the market.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Broken within 3 Years Unless money is no object, I wouldn't bother with this product, as limited product warranty for such an expensive item means if it breaks, as mine has in under 3 years, then the only option available to you is to throw it away and start again. Great while it was working, shame the product didn't last to even see it's 3rd Birthday. I can only hope the one I purchased for my wife a few months later, outlasts mine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best toothbrush I’ve owned + great service from Philips Since using this toothbrush, my teeth have always fealt cleaner, the toothbrush stopped working and Philips were amazing, I called and the new replacement handle was with me under warranty just 2 days later, thank you Philips. In the 2 days without, I used a ‘normal’ toothbrush (which was useless in comparison) and it really showed how good the Philips Sonicare brush is. Highly recommended.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great product, poor life This is the second Diamond care toothbrush I've purchased and although amazing at cleaning, the life of the product is very poor. For the price of the product, I'm not sure it is worth it anymore. The second toothbrush I've have had for just 1 year and it slowly deteriorated in its vibrations before stopping completely this week. What a shame as it is a great product when it works.
