Philips AquaTouch Wet and dry electric shaver AT890/20 DualPrecision blades Flexing heads with Pop-up trimmer and Aquatec wet and dry is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 634.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from So convenient to use at ANY time. I purchased this shaver in June 2016. I have used it constantly since and even dry I have found the shave to be gentle on my skin. It is so easy to simply rinse the head under the tap. There is also no contest to compare with even the latest safety razors, with the added cost of expensive blades, shave cream & batteries, I recouped my costs within the first 6 months and no nicks or razor burn! It was ideal when I went into hospital, one charge lasts me well over a week. I thoroughly recommend this shaver, I only wish I had changed to this AquaTouch shaver sooner! DH Devon

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Easy to use. Good result. Pleasant experience. Very easy to use shaver that functions efficiently although at times I found it a little too bulky (trying to shave bristles close to the nose is awkward.) I have used a standard safety razor for over 30 years so this new experience provided a pleasant change. I sometimes don't shave for 2 or 3 days and then found that this shaver was more difficult to achieve a satisfactory result quickly. It was good on one days growth so has seemed to encourage me to shave more regularly. Probably a good thing. I switched back to my standard safety razor recently, for a change, and it was a nice feeling, so perhaps I'm not completely converted. I'll probably end up alternating between the two.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product All of the benefits of a wet shave and and electric razor combined in one very useable product. Reliable and long lasting with a product warranty you can trust. When it eventually wears out you will want to look no further than to buy another - I’ve used this shaver model for as many years as it has been available and have never looked for an alternative when the time has come to replace it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from WORST SHAVE EVER BOUGHT THIS TO REPLACE MY OLD PHILIPS HQ7390 WHICH HAD A SMALL FAULT ON THE SHAVING HEAD BUT AS PHILIPS NO LONGER DO SPARES FOR THIS MODEL I WAS FORCED TO BUY A NEW SHAVER. I PURCHASED MODEL AT899/16 AND HAVE BEEN USING IT FOR ABOUT SIX WEEKS AND ITS THE PITS,I GET A BETTER SHAVE FROM MY OLD SHAVER EVEN WITH THE BROKEN PART ,I HAVE EVEN WENT BACK TO BLADES AFTER YEARS USING ELECTRIC SHAVERS .I HAVE TRIED DRY OR WET ,MAKES NO DIFFERENCE SAME POOR RESULT.I ALSO HAVE AN OLD PHILISHAVE HP1139 ABOUT 30 YRS OLD WITH A BROKEN FOILHEAD AND THAT WOULD A BETTER JOB THAN THIS POOR EXCUSE FOR A SHAVER ! TAKE MY ADVICE AVOID THIS LIKE THE PLAGUE

Rated 3 out of 5 by from AT 890 Works well, when it works. this was a replacement for a previously faulty item. I cannot fault customer service; they were great. I had just bought replacement blades for this item when the motor seized; not happy. given that the blades are half the cost of a new shaver This is the second wet and dry razor I have had from Philips that does not appear to like the wet!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Quick and Smooth shave I purchased it yesterday and I am completely satisfied with first use. Impressed with the speed it does it job. Very less irritation compared to razors. Have to spend little extra time in the chin and neck area. But it is a drawback for all rotary shavers. The product claimed that the charge indicator will continuously lit after fully charged. But the led switched off when I put for overnight charging. Easy to clean with water. But I am worried if the salt in water may afftect the blades. Dry clean using brush takes long time. Overall it is an wonderful product. Worth for money. I recommend this product to anyone who still uses razor for shaving.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good Second Aqua touch wet and dry shaver purchased from Phillips, great design, good performance and result. Bought the 8 hour charging one by mistake, go for the faster charging version. Bought from Boots chemist, the sales assistant had zero product knowledge (when I asked the difference between the two versions they stocked/price they thought the difference between the two models was one was an older version, hence cheaper) it was actually the two different charge times etc, so do your own homework before purchasing.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from An unreliable product An unreliable product, the first one failed just within the extended warranty period, as the battery would not charge. Philips replaced it like for like, but this again failed after about 18 months, this time the problem appeared to be with the switch. When it was working it was good and the wet / dry feature is useful. Luckily they always failed at home and I still had my previous Philips shaver, now 15 years old, to fall back on. Had I been travelling it would have been inconvenient to say the least.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Battery life is amazing I've always used electric razors and have had many over the years. All have been good in their own way but it's rare to find an outstanding one and this is it. It is extremely versatile, use either wet or dry, it's very comfortable in use and then there's the battery life........Wow!! I charged it for an hour when I first got it, then used it every day for about 3-5 minutes. At first I thought it didn't have a low battery indicator because it seemed to never come on, eventually it did nearly a month after the first charge. I've now had it nearly five months and have only had to charge it twice more! Buy this shaver you won't regret it :)

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Expensive disposable shaver The shaver started off well then went down hill, when i first used the shaver it was fantastic, as the days progressed the shaver got worse it was like having an expensive disposable razor, after a couple of months it needs new blades my previous brand went on for years before needing replacement blades, i chose Philips as they were meant to be the best hey was i wrong, overall nice looking shaver with a fiddly on off button that was easy to use but did not shave well, also blades blunt after a couple of months low usage, i think i will buy another shaver rather than but new blades already...remember this is just my opinion .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Probably the best electric razor I've shaved with It fits well in the hand and is easy to clean. I have never shaved with a 'wet' electric razor before and was therefore most impressed with its performance. It has only two drawbacks. First, it doesn't get into the corners of the face, - (under nose for instance), - this is difficult for any electric razor. Second, the 'balance of the razor' on the bayonet fixing of the charger could be improved. It 'wobbles' until the unit is secure. I suggest a snugger fit within the charger bowl. If a REALLY close shave is required, I suggest using the Philips razor, then reverting to a blade razor to finish the job. I would recommend it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from AquaTouch 887 v Philisave HQ7870 I bought the AquaTouch 887 to replace my Phillyshave HQ7870 that I have been using for 10 years without any issues until the batteries failed. The AquaTouch 887 seemed like a reasonable purchase and since I had been really happy with the HQ7870 I decided to stay with Philips. In use the AT887 is very disappointing it takes more than twice as long to take a dry shave and the end result is no better than the old one and it leaves my skin feeling a bit tender, the HQ7870 did the same as the blades got older which by the way I never changed them and I was hoping the new shaver would get over this problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best yet I had a foil shaver and it was awful, I then went to a razor but it was harsh and I often cut myself. So I took the plunge with a Phillips aqua wet and dry. The results were tenfold on any previous shave, I would say a dry shave for me is closer but it's your choice. The trimmer works well and cleaning is good with the included brush. Not sure how long the heads last but I don't shave every day, battery for me lasts weeks which is good and it's quick to recharge.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A little disappointed I have been using rotary-head shavers from Philips for around 50 years and have always been very satisfied. I am a little disappointed with this particular model though. It gave a very close shave for the first week or so but after that, the shaver gave less of a close cut. I only use it dry so perhaps this is the reason. When I run my hand over my skin after shaving, I can feel the traces of stubble. I was so disappointed that I considered taking it back for an exchange to a different Philips model. I just wonder how long it will be before the cutters fail to do their job entirely?
