Rated 4 out of 5 by from its not a bad shave i was rather disappointed when i opened this product to find that it was actually fitted with a European plug which meant that i could not use it until i took it back to the retailer and they gave me an adaptor.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excels as a wet shaver using foam or gel Very close, smooth shave when used with shaving foam or gel. Results are comparable to a wet shave with a blade. Not quite so comfortable as a dry shaver and it tends to miss some bristles and drags a little.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Truly fantastic This shaver works really well. It gives me a better shave than I ever got from a multi blade razor. Really a close shave whether wet or dry. It is also quicker than a razor with gel.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Smooth with gel My first time with gel & electric & I'm finding it a really smooth experience. Only downside is that I can't use whilst charging, but that's no big problem.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Most disapointing Does not shave well, takes a long time to effect a poor shave

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Only lasted 10 months Great shaver whilst it was working but it only lasted 10 months. This was bought as a replacement for a very similar Philips shaver which lasted less than a year before it also refused to work any more. However, I have had Philips shavers for many years and and keeping the faith by buying another one. Let's hope that this one lasts a bit longer !

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The shaver head just falls to bits We bought this shaver in November as an Xmas present for my father in law who is 84 and suffers with Parkinsons. Whilst it appears to give him a reasonable shave (he only has light stuble) when ever he comes to clean it he can't put it back together because the head disassembles into several bits. The first time he used it he gave it to me to try and put back together and it took me nearly half an hour and I'm not elderly with Parkinsons. What I really dont undertand is why each of the three metal cover plates, each of the three underlying circular blade plates and the underlying plastic bracket that sits on the three driving spindles all come adrift so easily but are so difficult to put back together. Even though I can just about get it back together for him only one of the blade covers seems to sit with the right tension and the other two are quite easily displaced again rendering them useless! Now he is stuck between a rock and a hard place because the product is exempt from any money back refund and although it comes with a 2 year warranty if this is a design fault any replacement is not going to be any better and we will have to fork out for a completely different make????????

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Could do better I have owned 2 Aqua Touch and should have learned my lesson. The blades do not last before need replacing. I was considering the new 9000, but before spending that sort of money would want to use it and register its performance. I think Phillips need to reflect on the customer reviews and take notice. In my own opinion and experience they have gone backwards since the Phillips Coolskin with Nivea. Good performance, blades very simple to change, unlike today, fumble and fiddle. Sorry Phillips I need a lot of convincing to buy another Phillips.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Much worse that any previous model I have had I have owned Philips razors for over 35 years now and having been a loyal customer have always valued and enjoyed them, but like other reviewers this product is particularly poor. The battery is fine, the shape is fine, but it fails in its primary task of providing a close shave. It is particularly poor at removing longer hairs and repeatedly going over an area with longer hair simply has no effect other than to irritate the skin. Even after I have spent so long shaving that I have just got bored wiith the whole process, the shave is simply not smooth. I am going to have to buy another razor as I can't put up with this one any more, and reluctantly don't think I can face buying another Philips in case the problems with this unit are repeated. Please don't give me tips on how to shave in response to this posting - I feel I have sufficient experience that has served me well in the past. I would ask that you review the poor feedback you have had on this product and ask yourselves if it is down to a design fault.
