Rated 5 out of 5 by from absolutely amazing Where do I start with this iron. I have 5 children two are teenager's the other three are under ten plus I have my husband and myself making 7. I have a lot of ironing which I love doing. Once I got this iron I went and treated myself to a new ironing board. I can't tell you enough how much i LOVE this iron. It glides through ironing like a hot knife going through butter, it's not to heavy I suffer a bit with carpal tunnel and this was bliss to use. Also wasn't reloading it with ironing water every two seconds like other irons I've used. Can honestly put hand on heart and say this iron is amazing and you will not be disappointed at all thank you Philips xx

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A short cord ruins a great iron The first thing you notice even before you use this iron is how short the power cord is. Even with using an extension lead I found it hung up and got caught on my board as I ironed and that is why I have to give this product an average score. The sad part is that the iron itself is really great, it has a nice big plate that heats up really well, changes temperature quickly as you need it to and the trigger steam boost is a good feature which I would love to have used on my curtains but having to lug about the extension lead as well as a fully filled iron put me off even trying. To Philips, please, redesign this iron with a 3m+ lead and I'll snap one up!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent iron I found this iron was extremely easy to use, light weight and nimble, thanks to the steam glide sole plate, this makes ironing a breeze. Some irons require a degree in astro physics to use BUT this particular iron is easy to use straight from the box! It has a very good quick heat up time and the steam generated from the "steam boost" was outstanding, especially on stubborn creases! Cord length was adequate at 2m, build quality it's exceptional and what you come to expect from Philips. This particular iron comes with a self clean action which I thought was a nice feature. Overall this was a pleasure to use and would highly recommend

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Performs well Hi, been using the iron for a few months now, heats up really fast and has a very nice steam which is very even. The iron features a tapered point which allows you to get between buttons on shirts really easily, mostly my ironing is shirts, with a few casual items thrown in and bedding. Only real bugbear with me, I iron with my right hand but when I want to fill the iron with water I also hold the iron with my right hand making it difficult to fill with water or read the level.. I am forced to hold it with my left hand! Saying that the hole for the water is sizeable and easy to pour into. Hope it lasts me a good few years to come

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Makes ironing less of a chore The iron heated up in about 30 seconds on a cotton setting, it glided over the garments smoothly and with little effort. The auto steam feature is innovative and gives what's needed at the right time, the reservoir is easy to fill up and lasted for the duration, also it has an eco option (20% energy reduction). It is just the right weight to use as I prefer one with a little weight to it. The self clean option (Calc clean) is also an added bonus to prevent calcium build up in the iron. The cord id a good length 2m (more than my previous irons). Altogether a dream to use I am not a fan of ironing but this makes it less of a chore.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best steam I've been using this Philips Azur iron for about a month and find it to be the best iron i have ever used. It easily glids over the fabrics and with the fantstic steam option theres no need to keep going over garments like some other irons. The point on the iron easily gets into the corners and would be great for pleats. I find the cord to be on the short side and find filling the water tank difficult due to the colour of the tank its hard to see the level of the water through it and the max sign is only on one side so i've over filled a few times. On the whole though I love this iron and would definatley recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant iron, almost does the work for you! First impressions of the iron is how well built it is. The soleplate feels solid and secure to the rest of the iron, and the curvature is great for around buttons. Using the iron is a pure delight. it glides so easily across the clothes using one finger that its possibly easier than putting a hot knife through butter! It has excellent instant steam function which is great for getting out those pesky creases you can sometimes cause. It's a really good solid piece of kit. I have recommended it to most of the people I know! In short.... great build, easy to use, and the creased clothes gives an excuse to use it!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Easy and pleasant to use First impression was it is a well designed iron, easy to set up & use. Not long enough lead, filling water reservoir is easy but not clear where the full mark is. I found I needed to have it on high setting and constant steam to get rid of creases, as a result I needed to refill water for steam more often than my old iron. Unfortunately I found the water spray button very awkward to use. I do like the pointed shape of the front of the iron, which enables you to get to small difficult parts of details on shirts/blouses etc. On the whole I think it is a good iron for the price it is, and gives good results.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Makes ironing a breeze I loved this iron. The Azur performer glided through my ironing basket like a summer breeze. It has a wide sole plate which covers large areas in double quick time and a very pointed nose which gets to all the hard to reach places such as inside pockets, pleats and between buttons. The automatic steam function saved water and me time as there was no need to keep refilling as I had the exact amount of steam pressure to create a smooth finish without keep pressing the steam boost button. I have only one complaint and that is the water level is very hard to see in the water tank and leads to over filling.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good and not so good points I very much like the way the steam is regulated by the temperature you set the iron to. On the negative side this means a lot of filling for a decent ironing session. I also have trouble seeing how much water is in the tank as it is smoky plastic with no indicator to assist. I find the very sharp point on the iron handy for shirt sleeves near the cuffs but on larger surfaces it seems to cause creases. I also find the extra steam button (which I need to use to get rid of these creases) hard to reach. I found it easier to use the eco steam to avoid too much stopping to refill water.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best Crease Remover! Impressed with the overall look, design & features although it felt a little heavier than my old iron. Iron heated up quickly and was gliding across my garments with ease and removed the creases perfectly! Each garment was perfectly smoothed regardless of the material. Love the auto-steam setting! Very happy that it has a vertical steam setting too! I felt the cord is a little too short . It holds a good water capacity but the water reserve tank colour should be clear plastic as it is not easy to see how much water one is adding. The instructions are clear & easy to understand!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fabulous Time Saving Iron! I absolutely love this iron! To start with, I love the design and appearance! It is a really stylish looking iron (if ever an iron can look stylish!). The weight is perfect for me ~ it is lightweight to hold and has a fabulously easy and smooth gliding action across any fabric I tested it with. I love the Clothes Steam Action which is brilliant for steaming creases out of dresses and suits without having the hassle of getting the ironing board out! The added bonus of not having to descale the iron was another huge plus point for me! This iron really has halved my ironing time!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So easy to use, best steam function I am loving my philips Azur Performer steam Iron. It is easy to use, smooth to run, and the steam function is the best I've ever come across. Ironing with the Azur Performer is easier and quicker, because the smooth running over my clothes means I don't have to go back and forwards continuously to get my clothes smooth. The steam function is just great though, it has more power than any other iron I have used before and really gives a good burst. The only thing I would say about this iron that isn't overly complimentary is that it is quite heavy. Not such a big issue though

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Design and Practical Obviously you need to use it a couple of times to get used to it. For flat garments it is perfect. For say,Gents shirts a bit awkward from sleeve to front side and then left to right. Water Resorvoir sufficient , Steam Pressure sufficient , Thermostat efficient. Design looks good, but maybe I am being a bit too fussy as I would love a sharper tip to access all areas; folds and pleats. Cord could be a little longer so you do not feel that you are pulling it. Though overall satisfied. Not one of those products that you use a few times and put away or replace. 9 out of 10.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good solid iron with everything needed for effortless ironing. The iron produced a variable amount of fine steam without any drips, and normal and stubborn creases were quickly and easily removed from all fabrics. When using the iron as a dry iron, I found that creases that normally needed steam could be removed better than usual without steam. The iron was very easy to operate and fill and I liked the large water container, but the on/off light was not easy to see. The iron felt heavy at first but this was not noticeable in use as the smooth base glided easily over the fabric. The iron seemed very stable when stood on its end.
