Philips Sonicare DiamondClean Sonic electric toothbrush HX9331/04 5 modes 1 brush head Glass charger USB travel charger is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 440.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from After 2 years it has stopped working. If I had written this last week I would have said a great product. However it has stopped working and now just outside warranty it can't even be repaired. A toothbrush that cost this much that can't be repaired is ridiculous!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Excellent product but on second one in 2 years because it broke So happy with the capabilities of Sonicare been using them for the last ten year then switched to diamond clean - the first one started making a noise and the brush head would not work as it is suppose to. I gave up on it and ended up buyinga new pink one and just under a year started doing the same to a point where I does not come on at all. It charges and lights are on but no movement. I did contact Support and they noted the product was still In guarantee but because I could did not have my receipt from boots only a cc statement proving the purchase I was told sorry they can't help. Very expensive for something that lasts so short and sad they don't make an effort to help

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Short life expectancy I bought this product against the advice of dentist friends, and family members who swear by Oral B products. Whilst the brushing experience was excellent, I found that the product stopped working (lights on handle stopped coming on, charging only worked with the case and not the glass jar, and brush discharged after one use, now won't turn on at all !) after 2 years, and just outside of the warranty period. My wife's Oral B has lasted 5 years and still going strong. When calculating the pros and cons of these products, you should assume that they will fail at the point of warranty expiry, and if you factor this in, it's a no-brainer to either stick with old school manual brushes, or invest in a Oral B product or alternative with life expectency or at the very least a decent warranty for minimum 5 years. Otherwise it becomes an extremely expensive and very wasteful (think of the landfill!) way to brush one's teeth. Zero marks for longevity.. if I hadn't bought the brush on sale, I would be seething at the per year cost of this poorly made product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Broke after 6 months For a product costing as much as this does i would have expected robustness. 6 months in it just stopped working. Was working fine, charged it and it never worked again! Admittedly Philips were excellent in replacing it but this should not have happened. This is the second replacement I have needed from Philips within 12 months of purchase (the other was a different model) so not at all impressed with product quality for the price. The other one was similar-just stopped working with no external actions (dropping etc) that could have caused a fault to develop

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well built, works well This is a well built product overall and seems to clean teeth well. However whether it is better than a normal oscillating electric toothbrush remains to be seen. It may be that with my old brush I was actually brushing for longer as it did not have a timer and now the 30 second timer for each quadrant doesn't seem long enough, I feel as if I have to rush a bit! So I keep it on whitening mode to get that extra bit of time. As others have said, changing modes once you have started can be difficult without spraying everywhere! And sometimes you can accidentally change mode while brushing if you are not careful. One or 2 of the modes seem a bit of a gimmick too, don't really see the point, but at least it gives people options I suppose. The glass jar is also a gimmick but it doesn't detract from the practicality of the product. The time between charges is good too, not the 3 weeks as claimed but still good, and when the indicator comes on to charge you still get a good number of uses before requiring charging, so if you are away for a weekend and it comes on and you've forgotten your case it will be ok until you get back. I like the charging case, great for travelling, the only niggle is that it is a mini usb so you need to take the cable, if it was a micro usb your phone cable could double up; I did once take the brush and case away with me and forgot the cable! Maybe if there was a slot in the case for the cable I wouldn't have forgotten it. But that is a very minor niggle and maybe there is a technical reason why they had to use mini usb instead of micro. The replacement brusheads are very expensive too, and that could tempt people to use the head for longer than perhaps they should. As others have mentioned, some form of colour coding would help too, to allow for multi-users. It is an easy retro mod too - just redesign the replacement heads.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Performance A great products that really cleans well. and keeps plaque at bay. I prefer the compact heads though and when purchasing this item you do not get a choice to have a compact head the item is supplied with the large head brush. Pity that these toothbrushes always fail after the two year period due to jammed on/off switch not working. I have bought several Philips electric soni care over the last few years and all fail due to the on/off switch failing ( just after the warranty runs out.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not worth the money Eye catching gimmicks at the expense of a decent motor. I'd rather less was spent on a pretty little glass charging system and more on providing a reasonable level of power. My wife's elderly, inexpensive Sonicare has far more power and does a better job. I regret buying this Sonicare toothbrush.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I realy like The product is fantastic. Very easy to use, and it is look amazing. Moreover, it realy helps with gumes issue. Only one negative side is charger. It is not designed for UK. I must charge product with my phone charger. It is only way.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A FLAWED DIAMOND! This is the best toothbrush I have ever used - that's why I continue to buy them even though they don't last very long! I'm on my third. The most recent lasted just over two years which is a lot longer than the first one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic I love this product. I previously had a Phillips but this one is far superior, the long time between charging is a godsend. My dentist has now asked me to visit only once a year as opposed to twice, it's a BIG YES from me !

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great Clean but bad power button design This device cleans teeth very well but the power button is designed in such a way that it will often miss the "clean" mode and go directly to "whitening" mode.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from If you can find a better toothbrush I will buy you it. Sat here for 15 minutes trying to find a negative to the toothbrush, with out sounding like I work for Phillips you will be hard pushed to find a detail where it is has not been well thought of and each feature is leagues ahead of there closest competition. (Don't quote me but think there are some patents in there also) I consider myself to of had a lot of electric toothbrushes over the years (new one every Christmas) usually at the top end of the market When I first used it you knew it was 'superior' hard to explain but your teeth are cleaner than you have felt before when you lick them. The power is unrivaled too. Over the weeks your teeth get cleaner and I found I do not need to floss as much. If you where looking into buying this toothbrush you will be aware of the contactless charging which is so convenient I will not go back. You get both the glass stand for you bathroom (baffles me how it works but it does) and the travel case which is not only charging but cleaning your toothbrush heads ultrasonicly too. This paragraph alone should highlight how much better this toothbrush is compared to any other out there. To conclude my review is quite simple please do not waist your money buying a 'mediocre' toothbrush, for the sake of saving 50 pound or so,.... The Philips Sonicare is a 'Premium" toothbrush it is a thousand times more superior than anything out there and warrants that extra money. I hope my review saved you from a waisted purchase
