Philips Shaver series 7000 SensoTouch wet and dry electric shaver RQ1180/17 DualPrecision and GyroFlex 2D 50-min cordless use/1-hr charge Precision Trimmer and Pouch with Aquatec Wet and Dry is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 76.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from This product could be improved upon. My opinion of the Philips Senso Touch shaver RQ1180 is that the shaver itself is OK but it is a pain to swap the heads around when wanting to use the trimmer. Also when washing the cutting head, the whole lot falls apart which is another pain. Shaving is becoming too " painful " and I am considering returning to the Arcitec model RQ1090 (or newer version) which is far superior in my opinion.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Two major issues with the shaver as below I have been pleased with the product generally, however, I have experienced some frustrations: - *after about 2 weeks (14 shaves) the holding mechanism (blue plastic) keeping the cutters in place came out and now fall out every time I clean them!! * the straight line cutter does not cut and is hopeless!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from absolute garbage. what a waste of money. tried it for 3 months thinking that it must get better or i'm doing something wrong but to no avail. leaving it to collect dust in the cupboard. very disappointed seeing that it was a birthday present and also my first ever shaver.just wont cut near to the skin and leaves long hairs even when u go back over them.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Rubish My wife spent a lot of money on this razor, I am so annoyed because without a doubt the worst razor i have ever used.I actually thought I had left a safety cover on over the blades-yes that poor.very nice design-quiet but whats the point in all that if you can't get a decent shave.it takes ages to shave-forget it altogether if your in a hurry -and then I have to finish off with a wet razor.Have decided to dump this one and either try another make or easier still go back to wet shaving.ABSOLUTE RUBBISH.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Performance deterioration after only one year's use. After purchase, it must be advised there was no use for two years, therefore the battery dormant for this time. When put into use after 12hrs' charge the performance was very good and continued very good for some months. After one year's continual use with charges when indicated, the performance markedly deteriorated, leaving short stubble, at start of shave, areas uncut. Another unacceptable matter has been the breaking off of part of the side grip of the plastic shaving heads shield after this one year of use; the plastic shield is essential to prevent damage to the shaving heads and blades within. I have been a Philips shaver user for 50yrs because of the overwhelming competitiveness of quality until this purchase. I will have the shaver examined by an authorised servicer whose report you may have.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Modern Design Although the design is modern, and the shaver sits comfortably in the hand, the general feel is of a shaver not as rugged as previous models. Shave quality I would rate as average, ability to hold its charge is rated as very good. The head is rather fiddly to clean and care is required parting the two halves. I successfully managed to have the shaver head fall apart on me within a very short period of time. The trimmer is better than on my previous model, but whoever designed the pocket to hold the trimmer obviously never uses this model of shaver, as the trimmer works its way out and can easily scratch the shaver body. The plastic head protector is next to useless and mine broke within 1 week. Yes, I would recommend this shaver, but certainly not at the full RRP.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Powerful soft noise shaver Shaving head attachment to the body comes lose after using it for a few months. Sadly there is no better product, hence I will still recommend it & buy it again!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Rubbish This is as good as any throwaway razor, because after using a few times you throw it away. Both my father and I bought this product we both independently went back to our old shavers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So easy on the skin I had never used an electric wet razor, nor a rotary head before, so the Philips Senso was an experiment. From the first I was comletely taken with it. I use a Gillette gel for the lather, and easy light circular motion with the head, and this results in a clean smooth shave without tugging or grazing. Cleaning is quick, just a daily rinse of the open head under the tap, and leave separated for a hour or two to dry off. Once a week use the brush and a tissue to clean the components and the job is done. It holds its charge for an incredibly long time - previous shavers have required a weekly top up - I've never taken it far enough to run out of power, but even showing just one bar on its indicator the motor does not slow down at all.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from disappointed ALWAYS USED A PHILIPS SHAVER SINCE 1970 .In 2013 I replaced my philips smart touch XL which had served me well for approx 15 years with the senso touch RQ 1180,I looked forward to using a new modern shaver - how disappointed I am . Very poor shave ,constantly misses hairs on my neck, have to use my old shaver to try and get a closer shave .When battery is flat cannot plug it in and finish the shave like my old one The cleaning system seems a lot of trouble for nothing Bought my brother one as a gift --WE WON'T BE BUYING ANOTHER PHILIPS SHAVER

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good design but ..... .... not as rugged as my previous Philips electric razor. Within the first month the shaver head developed a fault, which I managed to remedy. The supplied shaver head cover is of a very poor quality and no longer fits securely due to one of the locating lugs breaking off. Regarding the shave quality, I cannot fault the razor as it produces a good, clean shave every time. Although I recommend this product, it is with some reservations based upon comparison of this, with previously owned models.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from rq 1180 and similar nice design but shaver only lasted 2 years, in that time the shaver heads would come off mid shave for unknown reason, then it wouldn't take a charge so bought a lower spec rq1145 this will not charge on the old jet clean machine that came with the 1180 model, it is plagued with the same problems, the head just pops off now and again mid shave,, this means the cutters have to be put back in and not match up to the cutter head. it says they can take 6 weeks to readjust for the best shave.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product - best I've had The Philips RQ11180 shaver is a quality product. It is easy to use, easy to clean and produces a very good shave. It is definitely better than the electric/rechargeable shavers I haver used over the last 40 years. Good that it is relatively light compared with other brands and its design fits comfortable in your hand during use. A full charge lasts me about 2 weeks. I've owned this shaver for about 10 months and I would definitely recommend this model - I have not been disappointed!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn't give close shave The standard of Philips shavers continues to go downhill. It looks great and stylish and the charge lasts well. Easy to clean. But the shave quality is poor, ok if you like designer stubble after an hour. It's difficult to get it to shave close to the nostrils and it rakes your neck. The cool shave I had previously was better. But nowhere near as good as the Philishave I had 20 years ago. Come on Philips concentrate on quality of shave not styling!!!!
