Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use and quick close shave I have used many electric shavers, this is by far the best, closest, quickest shave I have experienced. Excellent product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from why didn't I buy one sooner Well having read lots of reviews for this shaver I have to say from my own experience it does the job much better than I expected. Ive used this in the dry and wet and both work just as well absolutely no irritation at all even on the neck which can be a problem area for myself. It provides a quick and extremely good shave I would definitely recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An electric shaver that packs a punch! After using this shaver for a number of weeks I have to say first and foremost this is the best electric shaver I have ever used. The ease of use of the product is brilliant, everything from changing/cleaning the individual blades to charging the shaver is extremely durable and easy to use. Shaving takes no time at all, personally I prefer a wet shave which works very well but the razor does also work quite well if dry shaving. Unlike other brands this has caused no skin irritation at all. Changing the head to the precision trimmer is very easy and is just a case of popping off 1 head and connecting the other and the precision trimmer also works quite well. Charging the unit takes no time at all however as usual the shaver comes with a bathroom type socket but the shaver cannot be used when charging. Would be better if the shaver came with either a standard plug socket or a bathroom adapter so that people could charge the unit elsewhere.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great product, giving a close shave. I have used the shaver for three weeks and have found that the contour detect heads give a really close shave. The design of the shaver allows for a better grip and the shaver holds it’s charge longer. I have found that there is less friction and therefore my skin does not feel hot and the head does not stick. Being cordless, I am not tied close to the shaver electrical socket. A few small issues with the shaver. The thin grooves of the shaver unit and the trimmer attachment are a bit of a nuisance as very small hair shavings get trapped there. Also opening the click on attachments for cleaning the shaver is a bit tricky and fiddly. Compared to my old shaver, the trimmer is an attachment rather then a pop-up, which is a bit fiddly, but not a great problem. No cleaning brush was supplied. Overall, in the short space of time I have used the S9211 shaver, I have found it a great product, giving a close shave.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not eay to use, to clean or to change heads. This product is not easy to handle with a tendency to switch off if extreme care not taken as to how it is held. The recommendation is to wash the heads each day but I find that I have no confidence that it is actually clean and the next day there is a stale smell from the product due to excess water. Changing the head attachments is no where near as straight forward as the instructions indicate. Overall I am most disappointed with this purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great shaver, easy to keep clean and very quiet in use. It has been many years since my first shaver (that was a Phillips too), I loved it and I have to say I'm not disappointed with this one either. The unit is kept, charged and cleaned using the included stand. I always clean the heads under a hot tap and I find this keeps the cleaning agent very fresh. Because of the built in cleaning function when you use the shaver it smells and feels like it's new each and every shave. Personally I use the shaver dry - not because it can't be used wet, just that I've been very happy with the results this way. Another excellent product Phillips, many thanks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Ever Shave I researched shavers from all makes before finally purchasing this item based on on-line reviews. And I am not disappointed. Previously I had another wet&dry Philips shaver which was Ok but no where as close as a wet shave and took alot of time. I also wet shaved but suffered from razor burn. This shaver is as close as a wet shave and much quicker than my previous one but with no razor burn. The battery lasts for ages and I have found that the use of the SmartClean really does make a huge positve difference to the quality of its performance. The best shaver I have ever owned.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Like the Curate's egg -- good in parts Best shave yet after almost half a century's experience of Philishave and Philips electric razors. Not having the trimmer mounted on the body of the razor permanently is a big negative point -- though the trimmer itself is good. Opening the head for cleaning out hair is an awkward and fiddly process -- not good. Cleaning machine is big and clumsy and leaves the razor dripping. Very unpleasant. However it can be used just to charge the razor, which is good. Case isn't great for the price of the razor -- and has no proper storage for the trimmer head.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I was so disappointed As a mature male I've used an Philips electric shaver for over 20 years, and I had decided to treat myself with a new 9000 series. I'm sorry guys but I'm so disappointed. I have to use the shaver for twice as long as my previous shaver, the shave is not as good and keeping it clean is a fiddle . I've got to purchase a new stand to charge it and clean it, No guys my artic was much better

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent quality, Smoothest electric shave I’v experienced! Having used a Philips AT890 last few years I decided it was time for an upgrade & treat myself to a new shaver, trawling through all the reviews I narrowed my choice down to the Philips 9000series, and on recommendation from a friend who has one, so far the 9000 series has lived up to my expectations with the smoothest shave I’ve ever experienced! It’s also a nice to hold in the hand shaver and has a quality feel to it, it’s very quiet & the way it starts up is unique! i usually use it with a wet shave it gives an excellent close shave, I’m very impressed, But, reluctantly I cannot give it five stars On design as bizarrely Phillips DO NOT supply a stand or cradle to store the shaver on a bathroom shelf! Most brands of this price premium shaver do,Mine has to lie flat & it tends to get knocked around. It’s scratched already! They do stands for other models but not for their flagship 9000 series! Take note Philips, looking at reviews it has put people off from buying this model! Is 1 available?? I also wish it came with a standard three pin UK charging plug, but that’s a personal preference That aside im very pleased and recommend anyone to not hesitate to buy one

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Disappointing I previously had a SensoTouch 3D which gave many years of excellent service. I wish I still had it. Unfortunately, the clip-on head of the 9000 cannot match the elegant engineering of its predecessor. Cleaning it is a chore and if it not carried out rigorously, the head quickly develops an unpleasant smell. I had an immersive cleaner for the Senso but this is not compatible with the 9000. A head guard has to be purchased separately and no cleaning brush is provided - how mean.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very disappointed I am very disappointed with this shaver. I have used Philishaves for 50 years and never had a wet shave. I use it dry and it is becoming more and noisy when shaving and applying pressure to the heads, you can feel the head unit moving also where it attaches to the body. I thought at the price this would be the ultimate Philips shaver but some earlier models were better and you could use them whilst charging. Also no head guard or cleaning brush

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Philips series 9000 Been using this electric razor for a few weeks now and I have to say I'm very impressed! Great design which makes it very nice and comfortable to hold. Good battery life, doesn't need charging really frequently. Gives a very comfortable and close shave with very little irritation. Would definitely recommend, a big step up from my previous electric razor.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nigh on perfect for my skin and beard I'm in my fifties and have tough but not thick beard growth. I changed to this razor after 20 years with a previous Philips rotary model. The cutting ability of the 9000 series head is a revelation but there are a couple of ergonomic and quality issues that prevent it from being perfect: - Razor body shape is slightly awkward to hold - Head attachment does not inspire confidence - Trimmer is awkward to fit and nigh on useless - No UK plug supplied so requires an adapter Anyone who says that it is possible to achieve the same finish as a wet shave, even if shaving creme is used, is lying. I use this as the first step in my shaving routine, before I shower, and it means that the wet shave that I use to finish is nigh on effortless. I believe that the triangular head shape used by Philips is superior to the squarish shape used by Braun as it allows better access to awkwards areas, such as under the nose.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Phillips 9000 series Bought this to replace my Phillips nivea shaver at Christmas 2014, this is the most expensive shaver I have ever bought but worth every penny. I can shave in less than 5 mins in a morning with this and no burns or nicks, effortless shaving plus you can use in the shower and use shaving foam if you wish but I dont. Recharges in one hour from flat plus cleans itself using the supplied cleaning kit . Would I recommend YES .
