Philips Azur Performer Steam iron GC3819/80 Steam 45 g/min; 200 g steam boost SteamGlide soleplate Anti-calc 2600 Watts is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 82.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Making it man proof I hate ironing and manage to char, burn and sheen more than my share of shirts, tops and trousers. Those days are over thanks to the Azur performance steam iron, its speedy heat up (30 seconds for cotton) and cool down makes ironing less of an effort and for me is perfect. The self clean system is ideal and its steam glide plate makes for easy manoeuvrability. The easy fill water holder with its side opening and drip stop is amazing. Need or want a new iron, or just want a change, the AZUR is the one for you. Im hooked and goodbye to those ironing blues.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smooth Operator The iron seemed a little heavy at first, but any doubts were dispelled when I started to iron with it. It glides well, has a good solid 'feel' and easily whips through shirts. I like the design of the water reservoir: it has a secure cap so no dribbles. Its good solid base means you are unlikely to tip it over. The flex could be a bit longer. The steam function is great. I ironed a selection of clothes including cottons, synthetics and cashmere. The heat setting is easy to select and performance is consistent across all fabrics.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great lightweight iron This iron is a great bit of kit. It reaches heat really fast and glides beautifully over garments. I have two small bugbears though otherwise it would have got a 5 star review. The cover over the filler hole for water is not great as it is hinged to one side and for me being righthanded it gets in the way. The other thing I dislike is the temp control, as it could be much easier to read. Why put the one you want to select right up in under the handle? I do love the light weight of this iron, much better than my old heavy iron.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great performing iron! The test of a good iron for me is how well it performs on bedding which has been tumble dried! This iron exceeded my expectations no more creases! Very comfortable easy to use iron with a steam trigger under the handle is a great feature! Large water tank and variable steam adjuster make ironing quicker! Good size ironing plate with a point end to get around difficult to reach areas. The only downside I have encountered is the length of the lead it could do with being a foot or so longer!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Would recommend I have used this iron quite a few times now and have found it pleasing. I do not enjoy ironing (who does?) so anything that makes it easier is a plus! The steam is very consistent - no water splashing so far, the position of the steam trigger is just right, the precision tip had me waxing lyrical to colleagues, and the short heat-up time was a bonus. The lack of a filler beaker puzzled and disappointed me, and even though it is possible to fill the iron straight from tap I'd rather not.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant performer This Iron is a dream to use, it heats up quickly and is a good design when it comes to holding it during ironing. The tapered point is perfect for ironing in between the buttons and other awkward parts of clothing, the sole plate flattens creases with ease I have tried the iron on jeans, work shirts and the time i spend ironing is halved compared to using my old iron. My only gripe is the cord is very short and you will need an extension lead depending on the location of your sockets !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great iron - good upgrade I had the old version of this iron which was not performing so well. I got this one as an upgrade. I am ironing much faster and it takes out the creases easily and efficiently. It has a great steam function and the anti scale is great in a very lime scale area which I live. The steam tip does a fab job on the small man's little shirts (age2) getting into the small corners. It also has vertical steam to do the curtains and a quick steam of dry clean clothes. All in all a great product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Philips Azur Performer Steam iron GC3819/80 I have been using the Philips Azur Performer Steam iron GC3819/80 for about 3/4 weeks and it is one of the better irons I hae used for performance. The steam control is brilliant and I like how the really narrow pointed end gets right into the corners and fits well between shirt buttons. It heated up to the right temperature really quickly and I am very impressed. The only thing I did not like was the cord, it could be improved by being made longer, or making this model cordless.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great iron for the price! I'm a 24 year old male who (believe it or not) doesn't really enjoy ironing. However the process is so much less daunting now, especially when it comes to jeans which are usually a nightmare. The actual iron is strong and robust, and feels like it should cost more than it actually does. I wouldn't say it's become my new hobby, but certainly a lot easier to do compared to my last budget Phillips iron. Would highly recommend, and my mother was so impressed she bought one herself!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It makes light work of a tedious chore! This iron was very easy to use. I mainly ironed using the auto steam setting as most of my ironing consists of cotton workwear. The steam output was excellent and I seldom had to use the steam boost function. I did use the eco steam setting on other items of clothing and this worked well also. I didn't have a problem with the cord length as often a longer cord results in tangles. All in all it did make the ironing a slightly more enjoyable experience !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Iron with Great results This iron has to be one of the best I have ever got, glides over the clothes and creases just disappear. Takes no time to heat up which is fantastic and doesn’t stick to clothes. I normally hate ironing but since I’ve had this iron I’m de creasing everything even socks ha-ha! Highly recommend no negative comments for this iron as the price is so worth it. You really do get what you pay for with this item and that’s a fantastic iron.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So quick & Easy! This Iron is amazing- I was surprised by how quickly and easily creases disappeared. This is definitely the best iron I have ever used. It took half the time that it usually does to iron a pile of clothes & the clothes looked so much better. I have 5 children and this is going to save me a lot of time. It is not too heavy but it is nice and sturdy- a perfect balance. I love this Iron, definitely worth purchasing!
