Rated 2 out of 5 by from Fabulous During Its Short Life Span A wonderful design of machine that changed how I felt about brushing my teeth for the better. The one I originally bought stopped working after about a year, I returned it for a replacement and that has now stopped working after two years. I don;t know what to do with its carcass, it doesn't seem to be designed to permit repair so likely to end up in landfill. I've bought a newer more basic model which today 2nd September 2017 is presently charging, I hope it works as well as this one but is repairable if it fails!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BRILLIANT CLEAN BRILLIANT CLEAN - USED PHILIPS FOR THE LAST COUPLE OF YEARS - JUST UPGRADED - HENCE REVIEW - OVERALL JUST AN EXCELLENT TOOTH CLEANING PRODUCT - FEELING FRESH AND CLEAN WITH HEALTHY GUMS - DENTIST ALSO RECOMMENDED ! - CALLED IT THE "ROLLS ROYCE" OF TOOTH BRUSHES - HE WAS RIGHT ! - WOULD NEVER GO BACK TO MANUAL OR OTHER ELECTRICS - ONLY CONCERN IS TAKING IT THROUGH X-RAY MACHINES AT AIRPORTS - MY PREVIOUS ONE STARTED DOING ITS OWN THING - SWITCHED ON ITSELF IN MIDDLE OF NIGHT (SPOOKY!) - SO COULDNT BRING IT BACK - WILL MISS IT - EVEN FOR SEVEN NIGHTS WHEN WE NEXT GO AWAY WITHOUT SONIC - OTHERWISE EXCELLENT

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Now not working !? This has accompanied me everywhere since I bought it. Sadly it has now stopped working. Don't know why. No longer charges, no light visible. The :dying" symptoms were its inability to turn off so would only run for four minutes. Then, to the surprise of the whole household , it would turn itself on and run for another two minutes then shut off. Although I thought I had suffered a "visitation" I still like the thing. However bought another replacement today - a similar device. Hope you don't suffer same.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great toothbrush I have had a couple of these and the toothbrush I have no issue with it cleans brilliantly to the extent I cannot stand the feeling a manual toothbrush leaves me with and have to buy a new one almost straight away. The only downside is it last for 2 years almost to the day and just suddenly conks out and stops charging. The same thing happened to the other one and for the price I would expect a bit more longevity than that. So I am now going to try a different model the diamond clean which charges from a glass. We will see.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good product which encourages you to use it As a Consultant in Restorative Dentistry it taks something to get me to buy a toothbrush with my own money! This toothbrush is so much more effective than my previous electric toothbrush by the other leading maker. My only complaints - it a bit difficult to hold as you use it if the handle gets wet or toothpastey. Also, having to press the on button three times to get to the whitening mode is a bit cumbersome. Otherwise a great product and thanks to the clever design of the charger, easy to take with you when travelling.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from It broke 11 days after the guarantee expired Takes some getting used to, but worth the effort. Excellent cleaning performance. The quad timer is a great way of disciplining yourself to clean your teeth long enough. Shop around - it's still very expensive at half the recommended price, and replacement brushes are dear. It's a shame the concept is flawed by unreliability. The battery packed in on mine 11 days after the 2-year guarantee had expired. At current (high) prices, I shall probably revert to a toothbrush rather than buy a new unit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from TOP TOOTH BRUSH THIS IS MY SECOND SONIC TOOTHBRUSH AND THOUGH THEY COST A BIT MORE I AM CONVINCED IT HAS SAVED ME SOME HIGH DENTAL BILLS. MY DENTIST AND HYGIENIST HAVE REGULARLY COMMENTED ON HOW CLEAN MY TEETH ARE AND MY HEALTHY GUMS WHICH USED TO BLEED BADLY. I ALSO USE LESS TOOTHPASTE THAN ON A MANUAL BRUSH AND THE HEAD ON THE SONICARE LASTS AROUND 3 MONTHS WHEREAS I USED TO WEAR A TOOTHBRUSH OUT IN A COUPLE OF WEEKS. A FANTASTIC TOOTHBRUSH WHICH I WOULD RECOMMEND TO ANYONE.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fine while it lasted The toothbrush was effective, however, after a while, just over a year, the toothbrush started to come away from the internal workings, and finally came apart so far it was unusable. I assume this was because the toothbrush part had vibrated away from the inner anchor or perhaps was not fully anchored in the first place. Disappointing as I'm a fan of Philips products and the toothbrush has otherwise, a lot of life left in it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The cleanest teeth I've ever had! My dental nurse recommended Philips Sonicare toothbrushes and I'm very pleased she did. After a few days of getting used to it I realised my teeth and mouth were much cleaner than ever before. It's only when I've used an ordinary toothbrush twice since I got my Sonicare that I realised what a difference the Philips Sonicare has made. If I'd had a Sonicare when I was young I'm sure I would have grown up with a full set of perfect teeth.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent - but for one drawback Very pleased with the Sonicare toothbrush. It is different to conventional rotating heads but we both prefer it now. The only drawback to this model is that the polishing mode cannot be accessed separately. To reach it you have to go through two minutes of cleaning mode. This is disappointing and I wish I had a model that you could choose the mode you want and select it directly. Other than that, we were very pleased with our choice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best toothbrush ever !!!! Was unsure at first if this product could justify the price ?? ... BUt it does and wow. Especially like the slim elegant design with no nooks and crannies .. So really easy just to wipe clean. Cleaning modes are great, I like the whitening mode best and it makes brushing your teeth a welcome task now ! You can feel this brush working at cleaning your teeth and gums effortlessly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well done Phillips excellent product just love this new toothbrush with three cleaning options sadly my previous toothbrush "died"whilst under warranty. Phillips replaced it very quickly (no quibble ) with an ungraded product which I love brilliant to use, teeth and mouth fresh just as my dentist ordered !!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best we have used We had the original Sonicare toothbrush, followed by the Philips branded sonicare then migrated to a competitor brand for no reason other than a change. After using the competitor brand for approx 12 months we realised that the Philips sonicare was a far better toothbrush. You have the 3 optional actions. We now own 4 of these toothbrushes, 2 for home use and 2 for travelling use.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Useless design and performance! The design of this product is useless. It's motor is weak and does not clean properly - it let in water and packed up. I contacted Phillips and they said it was a disposable item so I should go buy another!! I did but it was made by another company
