Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super convenient, super comfy shave. I typically wet shave once a week because my skin is fickle and shaving is boring. Electric shavers haven't served me well in the past, so I was quite eager to give this one a try with it's "sensitive skin" claims. I was pleasantly surprised after my first shave. No irritation, really close shave, and the whole job done in a fraction of the time it'd typically take me with a wet razor once I've gone through the faff of foaming up and multiple slow passes just to get a smooth shave without a red face. None of that nonsense here - quick charge, dry skin, dry razor, job done. There are a few angles around the chin, jaw line, and under the nose that I had some issues with, but most of that was solved in the following shaves. Under the nose remains the hardest part to get a close shave with this shaver. It's possible with some patience, but might be quicker to swap to a wet razor to tidy up. The shaver itself is really nice to hold, and really easy to move around the face. It glides around without any additional lubrication, which I'm really happy about. I've tried a wet, and a foamy shave, and I haven't noticed any real improvements in terms of comfort and closeness, so I seriously doubt I'll be lathering up regularly. The trimmer attachment is handy for sideburn and 'tache trimming, and it's super easy to swap between that and the shaver head. Cleaning the shaver head is quick and painless - you just unclip, give it a rinse, and it's good to go. The five minute quick charge is great for a quick shave in the morning, and a full charge for an hour keeps me topped up all week. Really impressed with the convenience this thing has brought to my life - I'm now shaving every day rather than once a week, and experience no skin irritation or frustration. Great little product. My only minor issue is getting a close shave under the nose, but that's trivial compared to the comfort and lack of irritation this thing provides. Absolutely recommended.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Ok but not graeat The good features of this shaver are it is very smooth across the face. After this it becomes very ordinary, the motor seems underpowered the trimmer seems so blunt I had to check that there was no cover on it. If I had paid full price for this shaver I would have taken it back The shave itself takes longer than with my old shaver and is not as close.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No irritation, even on very sensitive skin. Having used this product every day for the last week or so I have found that it provides an exceptionally close shave, leaving no irritation. I suffer from eczema, as well as general dry skin and so I'm very wary when it comes to using an electric shaver. Even when used as a dry shaver, its gentle head doesn't snag on the skin or leave me with red blotchy marks. It is very easy to keep clean , running it under the tap after use, seems to do the trick perfectly. The battery seems to be long lasting as I've only charged it once and its still indicating a full charge. Perfect for taking on holiday or away on busy as it comes with a small carrying case. The trimmer also comes in handy for keeping my side burns as bay. I am very happy with this product and intend to keep using it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic product - highly recommend Product was well packaged and looked great. The carry case included is good quality with a zip and will be useful for travelling without the worry of damaging the shaver. Very easy to get the hang of - the wet/dry feature makes it very convenient to use either dry or in the shower if in a rush. Did have to have a look at the online user guide as the quick start guide included was very basic. Skin irritation a lot less than with a standard razor or previous (limited) use of electric shavers. Not quite as close as would have liked under chin and nose but good close shave on rest of face. Fantastic for a quick shave before work. The cleaning station is easy to use and cleaning fluid has a nice smell to it. Would definitely recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect! The experience was better than I expected. The shaver surprised me a lot. The shaver is very easy to use and works very well. My shaving was never better before. The machine works very well, especially on the part of the mustache; The shaver is very easy to clean once it has been used. Undoubtedly, using this machine to sharpen is much better than using a traditional machine. The skin looks better with the new shaver and the irritation is almost minimal. It is true that using the new shaver requires more time than shaving with a disposable shaver, but the results are much better and it is worth spending a few more minutes. Under the chin it is harder to shave and it takes longer than with the disposable razor, but overall the new razor is infinitely better than a razor-sharp razor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable Shaving! I really like how the Shaver 7000 compares with my usual wet shave, I found it super comfortable as it just takes the stubble and doesn't take any of the skin with it. It goes really close however not as close as a straight razor as you'd expect but at the same time and more importantly I don't have any small nicks and cuts on my face afterwards. Overall, my experience with the Shaver 7000 has been a positive one. I deal with sensitive skin and refrain from shaving on a daily basis as I experience small patches of irritation spots on my face, especially my neck area. With the shaver 7000 however, I am yet to feel any sort of discomfort after shaving and as a result feel happy shaving a lot more regularly. The closeness of the shaver is also very good and I feel content with my look after I finish.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Basically a decent product I've had a lot of razors over the years and several have been from Philips. This is my most expensive purchase and whilst it probably is the best of them, it could glide over the skin more easily than it does. I also prefer the sideburn trimmer to be built in to the product. The blades are sharp and cut cleanly but I wish the motor ran faster. It is fast enough but not particularly fast - other razors I've had are a lot faster. Battery performance is good typically managing 12 shaves per charge. Personally I find it harder to grip than the traditionally shaped versions Philips make. Overall though I am happy with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent on sensitive skin As someone who has very sensitive skin, I am generally unable to use electric razors. However I find this one no problem at all to use, and it hasn't caused any skin irritation whatsoever since using it. I have only used it as a wet shaver so far, as I feel this is less likely to cause any skin irritation, and the result is a perfect shave, almost on par with a shave with a manual blade. The charging station is very convenient, however I once brushed the base whilst reaching to get something, and accidentally touched the cleaning cycle button, and wasn't sure how to stop it, other than pulling out the plug, which I wasn't sure was correct to do, so I just left it to do another clean cycle. A fantastic product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A star performer Having tried the Philips Shaver series 7000 for the past few weeks, I'm now in a position where I can I can write an honest review on the product. For the last few years I have used a foil shaver mid-week to save time and wet shave at the weekends. Firstly compared to both forms of shave, the cut is comparable. I get a clean shave with no missed bristles and a nice smooth face as a result. The bonus compared to a wet shave in particular is no nicks or irritation around the neck, something that I suffer from frequently when using the traditional method. It's also much quicker and a lot quieter than my foil shaver, which is a slightly more expensive model from the market leader in that type of shaver. The easy 'rinse under the tap' clean is a doddle and works well, saving a fortune on the cleaning cartridges I have to buy with my foil shaver. I was pleased to see that it came with a proper case, rather than a fabric pouch that just asks for it to get damaged in the bottom of a bag and with excellent battery life a fortnight's worth of shaving is easily possible. I haven't had to recharge mine yet after over 3 weeks. The main negative for me is that the cutting head needs to be removed to allow the hair trimmer to be fitted. It's only something I have to do every 3 days or so, but compared flicking a switch on my foil razor it's a bit of pain. I understand that the more expensive models have this option, so if it bothers you - pay more for the next model up... The trimmer it's self is adjustable and very good though. The brush attachment - I genuinely have no idea when I would use this. If I'm washing my face I use my hands and I cannot see myself ever bothering to unclip the cutting head, fit the brush and use it. It's still sat in the box as a result. Overall it's a great razor, light, stylish and well made. Most importantly it performs well, giving a clean and close shave - like you would expect from a wet shave but without the risk of irritation. For the price I'd recommend it without hesitation.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from A lot of money for something that doesn’t work properly. Is missing a lot of hairs so it takes a lot of time to shave with a red skin result. Has a great battery but I prefer the old models with not good battery but perfect shave. I’m not giving again 150 pounds for a philips. It’s time for me to change a brand.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not bad On off button could have been better situated, rather than near top of razor, as l tend to keep switching it off when shaving, but it’s good at clean shave.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good machine I used to 'dry shave' with another make but now find with this super razor that if I use an oil or soap etc I get the closest shave I have had for years. The sensitive rings are good BUT that is why I have marked it down one star because if you move it in a certain way the discs pop up and you get the sharp edge digging into your skin - ouch. The cleaner / charger machine is a brilliant idea I have wanted this for years. Probably my fault but the instructions as to the operating symbols could be clearer / more obvious ?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product moves and adjusts to the curves on your face & neck so effortlessly First of all i would like to say WOW first impressions of using the 7000 series shaver exceed my expectations. I left my stubble for a few days and then tried a dry shave first and the shaver head glided over my face/neck effortlessly and it was such a close shave and so quick and with it being quick it caused no irritation to my skin because i didn't have to keep going over missed areas i was so impressed with the results, i then tried a wet shave with foam 3 days later and the shave was even smoother/closer. Holding the shaver felt very comfortable and always felt in control and never slipped out of my hand when having a wet shave.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not cut the mustard In fact it does not cut anything After using Philips shavers in the past without problem and needing a new one decided to stick with the same brand big mistake .Been using the shaver now or should that be attempting to use the shaver for a few weeks and also knowing you need to give them time to adjust to your skin .Takes twice as long to shave as it does to use a razor does not cut and its so bad even after using I need to go over my face again with a razor meaning the whole thing defeats the object of using the thing in the first place .Unfortunately for me it seems I'm not allowed to return it because its been used now given up on this expensive ornament and about to consign it to where it belongs in the bin
