Philips Viva Collection Airfryer HD9220/20 Low-fat fryer Multi-cooker Black 800 g with Rapid Air technology is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 201.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from The easiest and healthiest way to enjoy fried foods! The air fryer is so easy to use I often wonder how I ever did without one! The initial outlay is expensive but if you shop around you can find the odd bargain and for the amount of use it gets in my house i'd say it has been worth every penny. Cooks everything from frozen fries to fresh roast potatoes, fish fingers, scampi, sausages and so much more!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really good product This product is really easy to use, I like the timer arrangement as you just turn it to the required duration and away it goes. The chips are great, it is useful to have the metal cooking pot as it becomes more flexible. Great for 1 or 2 people or to cook part of a meal. The draw (basket fits into) feet are not very good and dont last long.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Compact and simple to use with great results every time Fantastic product - barely a day goes by when it's not in use. Quick and easy to use and turns out beautifully cooked food. My particular favourites - salmon, corn on the cob and sweet potato fries. Wouldn't be without it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great i found using the airfryer great, put eveything in, no use of different saucepans and baking dishes, and just one unit to wash afterwards, very liitle smell, could have done with the basket being a bit bigger, but great for my needs

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A must-have when cooking for one I've been using this product for 8 months now and I'm so glad I decided to buy it. I'm sure it has saved me a lot of money and time which I would have spent heating up the conventional oven. It is great for heating up croissants for breakfast or individual fruit pies for pudding (warm and crisp in mere minutes); it cooks frozen foods such as fish fingers in less time than the grill; I can make delicious fresh chips in far less time, with a fraction of the oil, and less mess or smell than in the conventional oven. I haven't bought frozen chips since buying this machine, freeing up room in the freezer for other homemade meal portions. You must follow the preparation instructions and use a good chipping potato variety to get good results, but Maris Piper are widely available so this shouldn't be a problem (I've also used Rooster and Mozart potatoes with success). The only down-side is that the basket can be a little tricky to clean as oil gets into every crevice, but the benefits far outweigh this small inconvenience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from recipes turning out really great, very tasty I am still experimenting but so far have enjoyed everything that I have cooked in the airfryer. It is fast, efficient and very easy to clean. The design is great. Of course, the big advantage is that apart from speed everything is so much healthier. Can't imagine life without my airfryer now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from EASY TO USE VERY HEALTHY THIS IS THE BEST ITEM I HAVE PURCHASED. THE FROZEN CHIPS (ESPECIALLY THE FRENCH FRIES) ARE EXCELLENT. NO GREASE AND VERY CRISPY.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good and versatile product I did not buy to make chips but to fry with less oil. So far has been reliable and versatile in preparing a wide range of food. The crispness is dependent on the amount of oil employed but it is easy to make healthy and tasty food with a little amount of fat. Ideal to cook between 1 and 3 portions max. It misses the digital settings of time and temperature which is, however, not essential. Easy to clean is an overall good buy.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Waste of money Tried it once and decided that it does nothing that can't be done in a conventional oven.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very reliable This product has a mechanical timer that performs very well and is very reliable but it would probably be more appealing with a touch sensitive electronic timer. However, I have used it many times a week for years and it is very reliable. My only other concern was that unless the wire inner frame was pushed firmly into the base until there was an audible click it could possibly fall out when carrying the whole thing to serve out the food or replace after cleaning. My base fell leaving me holding the wire food tray and a corner broke off the base so I had to replace it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What I wanted I have been making Slimming World style chips in the oven for a few years and I thought that this airfryer might be more efficient. And I was right. Cut potatoes don't need soaking as long as the recipe book says. I wash mine through in hot tap water to remove surface starch then air dry in a sieve. Using Frylight is better than oil, try it the results are great. Just remember to toss the chips around regularly. Cooked a couple of other things in it, but mainly it's for chips and wedges. They always turn out nice and crispy. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A very good product! It is a very good quality product. It is easy and confortable to use, even to clean! Its cooking capacity is enough (only) for a rapid two persons meal. I bought a new item (same) after I have enjoyed the first one (2011) during last six years. Its accessories are not easy available! I bought finally two of "available" but they should be packed initially together with the airfryer or, as an extra pack sell it in the same store with the airfryer. The more cooking options the better... even with an extra price!... But it is Philips!
