Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good value razor Having used electric razors for many years I was surprised how well this 'budget' razor performed. I have also tested the top of the range and actually thought the this razor gave a better shave. I have always had a slight dislike of the Philips three head configuration shavers as I feel that too much pressure is needed for a close shave resulting in a slightly uncomfortable, scratchy experience. It doesn't have the 'floating head' of the more expensive shavers, but using it as a wet shave razor all that went away and it was an easy and comfortable shave. It is missing the very useful hair trimmer accessory of the other other models which is a shame.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Useless at cutting a course beard. Below is the description I read that made me think the AquaTouch Pro was for me: "Ideal for a course beard, the triple track blades ensures a fast, comfortable shave You will benefit from the convenience of the electric dry shave, but also from the advantages of using an electric shaver wet. Philips AquaTouch electric shaver that is fully waterproof, so it can be used wet with foam or gel for a smoother, more comfortable shave and greater skin protection" I have a thick beard and sensitive skin so the description appealed to me. I used it with water and foam as directed on a YouTube video, starting on the easiest part of my face to shave. The product was completely useless. I could feel a lot of pulling. It instantly started irritating my skin. I did rotating circles rinsing the blades every 3 or 4 seconds, but that didn't help. I only used it for around 12 seconds on one cheek before being thoroughly annoyed with it. Looking at my cheek, it was no way near to a close shave. All that pain and irritation for nothing. I thought - maybe I'll give it one more chance before I give up on it forever. I tried the other cheek but ended up pulling it off within 3 seconds. I imagine a dry shave would be even worse. Performance - I could do better with a sharp kitchen knife. Ease of use - Easy enough. Plug in and charged quickly enough. Design - I didn't like the weighting when holding it. Very unbalanced. Heaviest at the top. Otherwise it looked ok. There is a pop out precision trimming bit that I never used - but did turn on just to see. It was very loud and looked low in quality. I imagine somebody with very fine/soft hair might get away with using it. Not me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from PHILIP'S DOES IT AGAIN THIS IS MY SECONDARY SHAVER, I HAVE THE AT890 ALSO AND I DON'T USE THE POP UP SIDE TRIMMER ON THIS MODEL VERY MUCH SO I CHOOSE THIS AT750/20 AS IT'S EXACTLY THE SAME MODEL MINUS THE POP UP TRIMMER, THE QUALITY OF THE LIFT AND CUT BLADES ARE SUPERB, SINCE USING THE AQUA TOUCH SHAVER FROM PHILIPS I HAVE NEVER HAD A SKIN REACTION OR ANY ISSUES WITH MY SKIN BOTH USING IT WET OR DRY. WELL DONE PHILIPS AND THE PRICE WAS AMAZING, I COULD NOT FIND THIS MODEL ON THE HIGH STREET BUT WAS ABLE TO PURCHASE IT FROM THE PHILIPS OFFICIAL WEBSITE

Rated 4 out of 5 by from very comfortable shave It does wet and dry shaves and so far has given me a nice clean shave used along with foam and not cut me once. The compartment opens up easily at the push of a button. It is quite solid and fairly heavy for an electric shaver, but its weight makes it feel solid more than bulky or heavy - if you know what I mean. Like most Philishaves, the battery seems to last quite a while before it needs to be charged again, which incidentally takes less time to charge fully than you may think. The only bad comment would be the 8 hours charge.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Excellent when it works. Impossible to get fixed when it fails The shaver is brilliant and works well on my sensitive skin. However, like all Philips shavers it suffers from poor reliability. Mine is only 2.5 years old and has failed twice. It has been replaced once under warranty and has now failed again. Luckily, I have an extend warranty from Philips lasting 3 years. Unfortunately, there is no way of contacting Philips via their web site to get it replaced - they ask for the model number and purchase date and report it as out of warranty without even checking whether I have an extended warranty. If I click on the 'contact us' option, it takes me back to the start where I enter the model number and purchase date again and get told it is out of warranty.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Shaves effectively, but very lightweight. This model does the job, but is nothing like the build quality of the 10 yr old philishave that it replaced. That shaver got dropped and bashed many times during its life without problems. This one feels much lighter and flimsier made. The light plastic head and body feel like they would easily break if dropped. Charging capacity of 55min is lower than before, and not being able to use it while connected to the mains means you're completely dependent on the batteries retaining charge.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quieter than previous shaver but shave not as close Initially I thought the shaver was only partly charged because it was so quiet compared to my previous shaver. I use the shaver dry but the facility to wash the head is great. The cut is not very fast and I have to spend a full three minutes to achieve an acceptable shave. I like the fact that the head should last two years which is around three times as long as my previous shaver.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from An amazing Shaver, beats a Razor! I'm really pleased with this Shaver, it's my first one (I'm 32 and I've been using 'Gillette' Razors up until this Shaver):- this Shaver cuts almost as fine as a Razor does and, some how, it makes the Facial Hair grow back better (I Shave my face daily and I'm now having less stubble at Shave time). I've waited until the second 'full (I ran the battery out and I took it off charge as soon as the battery was full)' charge to take readings (to get a clearer result 'after the first charge there could still be manufacturer's things affecting the outcome'):- it takes 8 hours 3 mins to do a full charge (close to the 8 hours stated) and a fully charged Shaver lasts for 21 shaves/days. This Shaver can be used in the Wet and in the Dry; I use this Shaver with Shaving Gel (as if it's a Razor), it is easy to clean (I swirl it in water 'after and during my Shave' and I use the Brush provided) and I no longer need to spend money on Razor Blades. I don't usually leave reviews but, I'm really pleased with this Shaver and I just wanna open people's eyes to it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Easy to use, but no first time clean shave. First impressions were good. Nice design, good weight to it and easy to use with shaving gel and cleaning afterwards. But the performance lets it down. Cannot get clean first shave, need to shave twice and even then reaching the edges and nooks to ensure no missing bristles. So it takes twice as long as a wet razor would without a guaranteed close shave at the end.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from aquatouch rash the product i am reviewing is a wet n dry shaver..the aquatouch shaver is frumpy and unpleasant to hold and move around the face..the shave is rather poor in comparison with a wet razor..and i have found causes a lot of skin irritation. i am very sorry but i cannot find a good thing to say about this product..

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good product needs better explanation on use I found this product very good almost as good as a good quality manual razor. Only real problem was it did nick my lip and I could not get a response from philips, gave up after twice chatting on their live service. I am still using the product every day with no more problems and would recommend it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very poor quality product I have brought this shaver three times, and each one has failed every time within six to twelve months. Suspect water gets inside the case through the seals when you clean it, Come on phillips get a grip and check your assembly line!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Apart from charging fault an excellent product Unfortunately I cannot give a full review as there appears to be a fault on the item. The charge light is inoperative so I am unable to assess the state of charge of the battery. However I am more than satisfied with the shave it gives.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Had to claim under guarantee This shaver worked great for 18 months then I had problems with it and eventually claimed a refund from the supplier, Boots, under the guarantee. The fault occurred, coincidentily, when the replacement cutter head indicator activated. I reset it in accordance with the instructions but didn't replace the cutter head as it appeared to be working perfectly fine. From then on the shaver kept cutting out after a few seconds. I found that I could get it to work by going through the reset process and then leaving it to stand for a short while before switching it on again but eventually the continual hassle persuaded me to do something about it and I returned it to Boots, with all its paperwork + accessories, who refunded the original purchase price without any quibbles. It was a real pity because I really liked the shaver. It had performed faultlessly up to that point. It hasn't reduced my confidence in Philips shavers though as I have previously owned a succession of them over many years and I have replaced this one with a similar model from the range.
