My SENSEO® Latte Duo does not froth well

    Published on 2021-07-04

The milk foam of your SENSEO® Latte Duo can reduce over time. Try these possible causes and solutions to solve the issue yourself.

Make sure there is enough milk in the carton or jug, to prevent steam from coming out of the milk spout and reducing the milk foam quality.

Always use fresh chilled milk. We recommend semi-skimmed fresh cow's milk to get the best milk foam.

Follow these steps to correctly reassemble all parts of the milk spout:

    1. Place the small lid back on the frothing system
    2. Place the inside part back into the frothing system
    3. Close the spring to lock the two parts together
    4. Place the frothing system in the bottom part of the milk spout
    5. Place the top part of the milk spout back onto the bottom part

Make sure that the milk tube is well connected to the milk spout and that the tube is placed in the milk carton or jug.

Reassemble the SENSEO® Latte Duo milk spout

For consistently good frothing results, it is important to clean the milk spout and milk tube regularly. The milk spout of your SENSEO® Latte Duo can be disassembled completely, which allows you to
remove all milk residues from it. Note: Make sure to correctly assemble the milk spout after cleaning.

You can find detailed instructions in the user manual that came with your SENSEO® Latte Duo.

Follow these steps to unclog the milk spout:

    1. Mix half a bottle of SENSEO® liquid descaler with 1 litre of lukewarm water in a jug
    2. Let the milk spout soak for 30 minutes in the descaling solution. Turn and rotate the milk spout a few times to remove trapped air
    3. After 30 minutes, disassemble and rinse all parts of the milk spout
    4. Reassemble all parts accordingly

If none of the above solutions solved the issue, please contact us for further assistance.
