My Philips Humidifier does not humidify the air

    Published on 09 November 2022
If your Philips Humidifier or 2-in-1 Purifier & Humidifier does not humidify the air or you notice that the humidity indication/hygrometer does not change, please find information below on how to simply solve this yourself.
There is a maximum room size that your Philips Humidifier or 2-in-1 Purifier & Humidifier can humidify. If you exceed the recommended room size for your specific humidifier model, the indication on your appliance or hygrometer will not change since your appliance will not be able to provide the expected results.
The humidification filter should be assembled around the filter support. Your humidifier cannot function without it. Please make sure that this is the case.

Note: The image below is a generic representation. Please follow the humidification filter installation instructions in the User Manual specific to your model.

When windows or doors are open, the humidity from your Philips Humidifier will not remain in the room.

Please close the doors and windows.
The most comfortable RH (Relative Humidity) level range is between 45% and 65%. For your health and comfort, when no target RH is selected ("---" is displayed on the panel), the Philips Humidifier or 2-in-1 Purifier & Humidifier humidifies the air continuously and automatically switches to the lowest speed once 70% RH level is reached. When environmental RH is lower than 70%, the appliance will resume according to previous settings.

If target RH 40%, 50% or 60% is selected, the appliance also automatically switches to the lowest speed once the selected target RH has been reached. When environmental RH becomes lower than the selected target RH, the appliance will resume according to previous settings.

This is a normal function and there is nothing wrong with the appliance. To find out more about the RH setting, please refer to the User Manual specific to your model.
When the humidification filter is dirty, your humidifier cannot humidify. To resolve this, please rinse the humidification filter. Remember that it should be cleaned regularly according to the instructions on the User Manual specific to your model. If scale has formed, descale it.

Note: Your humidifier has an advanced cold evaporation system which produces healthy humid air from the outlet area without the formation of water mist. The water vapour is invisible to the human eye and will not get the floor or desktop wet.
Please make sure that the water tank is correctly assembled on the appliance. The window of the water tank and the display should be on the same side of the appliance, as indicated in the image below.
