This is the second Philips 227E6SLD monitor. It replaces one I bought at the end of April and by mid June had failed with multiple coloured horizontal lines appearing on the screen. Returned to PC World, 17 June with a 2 week turn around for repair. By 5 July nothing back Complain lodged with PC World - told old unit could not be repaired. New one coming from Germany - delivery 7 - 10 days. Surprised whne on 8 July was told a new one arrived. Went to set up on 9 July - no three pin plug, vital for power in the UK. Retruned to PC World. was given an old power cable. Presume new one had been removed from the new box on arrival and used for something else. Overall experience of Philips and PC World - rubbish. Will see how long this new unit lasts

STILL NOT ACCESSED OFFICIAL START UP DATA. HAVE HAD DIFFICULTY REGISTERING PRODUCT BECAUSE MY MODEL NO. ENDS /06 AND REGISTER SITE WILL NOT RECOGNISE THIS NUMBER, ONLY PRODUCTS ENDING /05.
HAVE MANAGED TO REGISTER PRODUCT (I THINK) BY
REGISTER 0/5 NO., NOT 0/6.
HAVING SAID THE ABOVE THE MONITOR IS CRYSTAL CLEAR, SPARKLING COLOURS AND GOOD DEFINITION.
