I start work at five in the monring so not much time for a wet shave but this razor is brilliant a good close clean shave within mins.

Unfortunately, the power switch stopped working in under 2 years. Phillips were good and replaced it for free.

This is now my second Philips shaver. The last one was replaced after about 18 months by Phillips in August 2014, however as I had purchased a different razor because of the first one not working I carried on using it.
I started using the replacement razor from Philips about a year ago, and recently it started to show the same faults as the original had, it would not start, after a recharge it would only run for a few seconds and stop, the red light flashes for a couple of seconds, then after washing it out and putting it back in the cupboard it started all by its self and would not turn off. I keep trying it and now it will not do anything, It is now unusable. I have followed all the user instructions and generally look after my things well.
I expect more from products purchased from a company such as Philips.

Have been using Philips shavers for decades, this is a great shaver , it takes a couple of weeks for the cutters to settle in . It gives a good shave and it fits nicely in the hand whilst using. The battery life is excellent.

This is now my second Philips shaver. They seem to last until the guarantee expires. Second shaver in 4 years. Followed all instructions for use and cleaning but they have a short life.

After charging, the first shave was very easy and fantastically smooth, very quick and the difference was noticed by my wife.
That was the reason she bought it for my birthday.
I've been using Philips shavers since my first battery shaver in the early 60s, and this is by far the best.

BOUGHT THIS TO REPLACE MY OLD PHILIPS HQ7390 WHICH HAD A SMALL FAULT ON THE SHAVING HEAD BUT AS PHILIPS NO LONGER DO SPARES FOR THIS MODEL
I WAS FORCED TO BUY A NEW SHAVER. I PURCHASED MODEL AT899/16 AND HAVE BEEN USING IT FOR ABOUT SIX WEEKS AND ITS THE PITS,I GET A BETTER SHAVE FROM MY OLD SHAVER EVEN WITH THE BROKEN PART ,I HAVE EVEN WENT BACK TO BLADES AFTER YEARS USING ELECTRIC SHAVERS .I HAVE TRIED DRY OR WET ,MAKES NO DIFFERENCE SAME POOR RESULT.I ALSO HAVE AN OLD PHILISHAVE HP1139 ABOUT 30 YRS OLD WITH A BROKEN FOILHEAD AND THAT WOULD A BETTER JOB THAN THIS POOR EXCUSE FOR A SHAVER ! TAKE MY ADVICE AVOID THIS LIKE THE PLAGUE
