Superb screen. Looks good when off. Stunning picture when on. Running games at 4k. Needs a pair of high end graphics cards but so well worth it. 4k film looks fantastic of course. Just waiting for a 4k Blu-Ray player for the PC to arrive on the market now.

Rated 4 out of 5 by DaffyDuck The OSD setup facility lets this excellent monitor down
I would have given this otherwise excellent monitor 5 stars if the OSD facility for setting it up wasn't so clumsy and badly designed, it being manipulated by a fairly 'iffy' joystick in a get-attable but awkward position at the rear bottom right hand corner . In fairness to Phillips they have attempted to get round this with a "Smart Control" software application, but unfortunately this is also fairly useless as a lot of the functions in the OSD setup menu don't exist or don't work #on Windows 10#
One improvement that is badly needed is for the Smart Control software to provide the facility to switch the "Picture in Picture" function on or off. Trying to do this via the joystick is a frustrating experience which I gave up on, especially since the volume adjustment and mute function are done in the same way.
The screen is huge and the display is excellent, and setting it up on my Windows System on Windows 10 was a breeze. By using the windows display scaling features it can be set up to suit all tastes. I have it set at 150% which I find just right for desktop use. There are preset setups available in the OSD menus, but it might be easier to use the NVidia control panel to achieve similar results, I haven't looked at this yet.
Lots of input sources, my preference was to ignore the audio side, and set the OSD user key #joystick down# to choose the input source.
Despite the OSD shortcomings, I would still recommend this beast of a monitor because it looks so good! Let's hope that Phillips or whoever they employ to write the control software give us a comprehensive set up tool that can be used from Windows in the future.

I have always been a large resolution aficionado, you can never have enough pixels IMHO. I have read many reviews that complain the screen is too large - how ridiculous! If you read the manual, the OSD is a piece of cake. DP 1.2 gives 4k @ 60Hz, job done. I didn't think I would like the glossy screen, but you get used to it in about a day. I've bought 2 of these beauties; Philips must have a healthy order book, the 2nd took over 3 months to arrive. So what can you do? 12 pages of documentation at the same time, makes cross referencing a breeze. Spreadsheets of 150 rows by 366 columns is a nice to have. Pretty much an entire A0 sheet for diagramming, it is so productive to be able to see the whole picture in one take.
Can't wait for 8k on 60" (146 dpi)

Rated 5 out of 5 by azc60 Stunning display
I wanted a large screen 4k display for a dedicated flightsim PC. Most "large" monitors seemed to max out at about 28 inches, so I had decided to buy a 40 inch 4k TV instead. And then I found this monitor via a review. Was always going to feel more comfortable with a PC Monitor than a TV, and have had good experiences with Philips products before so bought one.
It is excellent. Got it running as a single screen, full 4k at 60hz via DisplayPort (after amending the DP level via the OSD setup menu) - motion is smooth (from NVIDIA GTX 980 TI) and image sharp and clear. Haven't played with all the picture-in-picture options and not likely to but they seem quite handy. Sharing this monitor between 2 PCs would make sense.
Oh, and the sound quality from the built in speakers is good as well.
Highly recommended. Makes my other systems feel very inadequate now. And if I get anything like the 20+ years I got from my large screen Philips CRT TV I will be a very happy bunny.

Lovely looking screen. This is perfect for the heavy PC user looking a lot of screen real estate. I move from a similarly sized TV as a screen to this and have been largely blown away. Gaming is a dream even if you can't use 4k. Just changing to 1440p or 1080p and the screen still looks great. If your PC isn't super powerful this screen should at the very least future proof you until your PC is. I mean even 1360 by 768 looked ok (go to a minimum of 1080 or 1440) though. The displayport cable was a good 2m long and fully supports 4k 60Hz (change to displayport 1.2 in the screen settings menu though). Don't cheap out and use a subpar cable though like I did, just use the good one Phillips provide in the box...

Rated 4 out of 5 by Verified Reviewer Great Overall but for OSM
Great display in general but the on-screen menu system is clunky.
As for the other poster indicating it does not work with display port he is incorrect, both my machines run 970's and Display port is fine at 4K 60hz. but you need to set it in the setup menu to accept Display port 1.2 as from the factory it is set to 1.1(don't know the reason).
Some people should read instruction manuals before incorrectly posting issues which are clearly not there.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Paul310515 Superb Ultra HD 4K PC Monitor
Fantastic Ultra HD 4K PC Monitor. Highly detailed vibrant sharp picture. Scaling is excellent. Contrast & brightness are terrific.
The only minor downside is slight barely noticeable inversion artifacts when dragging a window on the desktop but this is not visible in gaming or watching a Bluray movie.
