This well -designed model is light -weight, easy to use, and importantly, cools down quickly after use.
We are so pleased with this iron that we recommended it to an elderly friend who ordered one and she is delighted with it.
It is attractively priced, and one of the few non-steam irons available on the market

I have great trouble finding a quality dry iron which I much prefer to use than a steam iron. I guess I'm in a minority as I could not purchase one from a whole range of shops in, above all, the Croydon area.

This is a well designed dry iron. Light and easy to use. It is excellent for people such as my wife with health problems affecting the hands. Steam irons tend to be too heavy and the steam a dangerous addition where there is limited hand control.

Rated 5 out of 5 by IanD A brilliant non-steam iron
It really is light weight, but still irons clothes wonderfully. It is smart, has been reliable during the last few years (using my parents one). It is cost effective and best of all ... it is NOT a hulking great, heavy, unwieldy steam iron. Good value. Thoroughly recommend it!

The Philips dry iron GC148 is the third Philips dry iron I've owned in 25 years and I have always been pleased with them. This one is my favourite as it is light and the soleplate just glides across the fabric and makes easy work of the ironing.
