This is my third Philips Azur iron.
The first one was great, the second not great and this one (only used for 1 week) seems to be a keeper.
I checked all the review sites before purchase and I'm hoping it will continue to please.
Love the additional clip for the wire. Not so sure about the location of the boost of steam button nor the water spray. my hands are not big enough to reach the spray button. I also hope I do not accidentally press the steam. I did a range of fabrics ironing and was really impressed with performance on cotton bedding & linen shirts.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Willnotbuyphilipsiron OK, but has problems.
Not the easiest iron to use. The dial is hidden under the handle and is difficult to see the arrow. My main gripe is that the electric cord is very short - there is no 'reach' at all and is a major defect. The sole plate is not very smooth (previous iron was a Tefal and that was brilliant). I have never spent so much money on an iron before and it is NOT a good buy & if I could I would return it.

Unfortunately the plastic cover of the wire where is joins the iron is very rough and scratches my wrist when ironing.
Also there is no velcro strap to keep the cable tidy, when not in use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Woolleycat Successor to my 8 year old Philips" Perfect Iron"
I am glad I decided on another Philips to replace my previous iron. I was devastated at the time when my 8 year old one failed to deliver any heat but am happy with the choice I made.

Rated 4 out of 5 by ironman2 Irons very well, but you need tolerance!
Bought yesterday for the features but it failed on comfort.
It irons very well but...
1) the power cord always dug into my hand. It should be further away from the part of the handle you need a good grip on.
2) I have to rest my fingers on the steam control button under the front of the handle to grip the iron securely. This put them very close to the temperature dial which my hand/fingers invariably moved when putting the iron upright. The dial should be quite a bit stiffer.
3) How should I interpret the 45 degree line for the max water level? Should the iron be on its back, on the sole plate,or held at 45 degrees? The lack of a filler jug stops you working out the answer.
Sticky tape to buffer the cord swivel with more around the temperature dial transforms it into a very nice iron, but not so good to look at!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Jon84 Good product though a little expensive.
Being ex-military, I demand a good iron capable of producing excellent performance and value for money. Reliability is equally important and as I've previously owned a Philips iron, and several other household products, I know this iron will live up to expectation. My one criticism is that there is only 2m of flex which is too short, as far as I'm concerned, and had I known I would not have bought it. 3m is far more appropriate, particularly if steaming verticle furnishings or garments, as I do not like irioning up against a wall.

My only disappointment is that the cord is so short. It seems a shame that an excellent product has been spoiled by something so simple.
