Same thing happened as Oneworld of London. Two years then light flicker and no heat. Will not be buying Philips again.

After purchasing the Azur (GC4851/32) exactly 2 years and 2 weeks ago, I have enjoyed using this iron on a weekly basis. Until today. Upon start up I get the dreaded 2 red flashes from the "Auto shut-off" function, although despite moving, shaking, stroking, anything... nothing happens. No heat, no amber light, nothing. Have tried all heat settings, multiple power points in my home to no avail. The worst thing was when I read this: "The warranty period for all Philips products is 24 months". So my iron managed to break 2 weeks after the warranty ended after 2 years of flawless service?! Frustrating to say the least. On this basis I can only recommend to anyone who wants a working iron on a short-term basis.

This is an excellent iron for all general domestic ironing, pressing and vertical steaming.
