2 months out of guarantee and developed an electrical fault.
Never dropped it or let it get wet.
Now useless and having to spend out all over again.
Won't be replacing with Philips

I bought this iron and paid a bit more thinking it would last. Had it about 4 months and its playing up. Turn the steam on and it leaks water all over what ever you are ironing, feel like throwing it through the window! The only good thing I can say about this item is that it has a long lead.
Off to tesco now to get a new iron!

Rated 2 out of 5 by jayjay1963 On My 5 TH AZUR!!!
Well where to start i say......I have brought this azur for the last few years, and find it quite easy to use, and it does do the job well.
The only thing with them is they just don't las very long.
I have had a new one of these every year for the last 5 years!!!
I have all of them lined up in the cupboard, even though i do clean them out with the 'calc' button, they have all stopped steaming all together, i really just don't understand this at all, as to why they would all go the same way?
I look after all ,my item's and have done all the they say to do to look after this product.
My last one has just broken down last week, putting water all over the clothes (not happy) and steaming when it feels like it, and have a red light flashing all the time, this needs some serious thought if you ask me..........well i now have £325.00 worth of iron's that i can't use.......all i wanted to do is get hold of these people so they can give me some help with them all, and the newest one is now gone the same way.
I will need to buy another iron but am sad to say it will not be one of these again, they are over priced for what they are, at anywhere from £65.00 - £102.00 i need to find another make for my next purchase, although i will get hold of philips and qusetion them about this model, and send them all 5 irons i have for them to take a look at lol.
So am sad to say goodbye to this brand of iron.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Sassicat Very dissapointing
I bought this iron to replace a cheap and cheerful iron (a different make) that had come to the end of its life after 12 years faithful service. I was expecting this Philips iron to be vastly superior in performance, but it just isn't.
Despite being advertised as having one of the highest amounts of steam - 50 grams/minute - of any iron on the market, it doesn't seem to have very much steam at all. It's performance is very average, so I have to press the 'shot of steam' button, all the time.
The 'shot of steam' and 'spray' buttons are very narrow. The knob to set the amount of steam (which has sharp square edges) is set in between these two buttons, and gets in the way when you go to press either of them, so after ironing just 3 pillowcases I ended up with a very sore thumb.
The 'shot of steam' button is also awkwardly placed on the right side of the handle, great if you are left-handed. But as I am right-handed like most people, it makes it very difficult to use.
Having to use the 'shot of steam' button all the time, also means that it runs out of water really quickly..... One full tank of water for just 4 pillowcases!
Despite being 'non drip', this iron drips - after ironing just one pillowcase it started to drip - even on the hottest setting - leaving wet marks all over the ironed item. I would associate this with an iron that is broken, not one that is brand new.
It's extremely noisy, making a horribly loud spitting, gurgling sound every time I move it.
I also think that there is a problem with the thermostat, as it doesn't get any hotter on the linen setting, than when on the cotton setting.
The handle is made in two parts and the edges are quite sharp, so it's not nice to use this to iron more than a couple of items. To get something as basic as the handle design wrong like this is frankly unbelievable. The handle on my old iron was moulded from a single piece of plastic which was lovely and smooth and solid to hold.
I can't believe the poor design of this iron. It makes makes me wonder whether the creators have ever actually used an iron.... ever.
I normally enjoy ironing, but not with this iron.
Given the problems with the drips, I will be returning it to the store for a full refund. I won't buy another Philips iron after this experience

I used it for three months , It was good at start but now it doesn't turn on, looks like power button / thermostat is broken as it was too flimsy at the start , may be it only happens to me but as it happened so I won't recommend it .
Very poor thermostat .

DESIGN IS FIRSTCLASS; IRON JUST GLIDES OVER THE TOP OF CLOTHES AND BEDDING. HANDLE GRIP IS PERFECTLY SHAPED AND USES A QUAILTY MATERIAL; GOOD FOR HOLDING ONTO. MASSES OF STEAM AND IT ACCEPTS A LARGE QUANTITY OF WATER (AVOIDS CONSTANTLY HAVING TO REFILL). HOTPLATE IS MADE OF SOMETHING SPECIAL THAT MAKES IRONING A MUCH EASIER TASK. THE WEIGHT IS IDEAL AND EVENLY BALANCED. WHILST IT IS UNIMPORTANT THE IRON DOES HAVE AN IMPRESSIVE LOOK. LEAD IS THREE METERS OR SO LONG AND COVERED IN PLIABLE FABRIC THAT HELPS WHEN WRAPPING AROUND THE BASE READY TO STORE.
