I have had this table grill for a more than a year now. The overall design is very good however the temperature does not get that high and when it thinks it is to high is cools down. So it becomes Yo Yo grilling. It did really well on doing Buttermilk Pancake breakfast but searing a steak was a NO NO. It would be good to use if you have a hamburger party especially with the smoker addition, although the lid needs to be down all the time for the burgers to get a little smokiness. This is why I would recommend it.
It has ended up in back of the larder collecting dust and has not really been used more than 4 times.

I purchased the Philips table grill about a month back. Used it around 5 to 6 times and guess what, the grill stopped working.
Now when I connect the device to power and turn the heat regulator nothing happens.

Rated 1 out of 5 by stewmart terrible grill
it's such a shame that this grill is so bad, instead of keeping the grill at a high temperature the thermostat keeps cutting off thus reducing the heat when you really want the grill to maintain it's heat
have used it 4 times and now it is at the back of the garage awaiting the scrap-man to collect

Rated 4 out of 5 by almoradigary Suits me, with or without smoke!
This grill is a godsend for me as I live in an apartment in Spain and a conventional BBQ is not really an option on the balcony, so this seems to be the answer for me. I use an extension lead and now prepare great tasting food out in the sun. The sloping grill drains away excess fat and the lid helps stop the meat drying out. I use it regularly and it's very easy to clean especially with the lid and grill plate being dishwasher safe. The only reason I have not given it five stars is that if you are using wood chips for smoke effect, as the meat is cooking it produces moisture and steam which immediately dampens and douses the smoking wood chips thus stopping the taste infusion by smoke. I'm not saying taste infusion will not work with other methods such as wine or herbs but the smoke effect is certainly a bit of a damp squib, I don't know how this can be resolved, removing the lid would stop the wood chips from getting wet but I guess the smoke would merely blow away without infusing the meat, pity really but that said I wouldn't be without it for my balcony barbeques!

Rated 5 out of 5 by SteveK Great food & easy to use.
Thermostatic control gives a wide "cooking range".
I didn't think the glass lid would work well - but managed to disprove that the first day out. It allows steam to form thereby keeping food moist, even at higher temperatures (and with the infuser filled, it's even better).
Cleaning is simplicity itself, as the whole lightweight grill plate comes off.
The infuser can be used with liquid flavourings - tried chicken with a hint of vanilla - different.
The smoking container worked a bit too well the first couple of times, so now adding "little and often".
An observation, rather than a con - a blanking cap for the smoker hole might be a useful addition.
All in all I'm very pleased with it.
Thank you Philips.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Asdashopper Fantastic Looks and performance! great taste and idea!
Fell in love when saw it first, when it was delivered- speachless! It looks like my printer:-) ...seriously, it looks really fresh and stylish.
Food was nice and tender, though it takes time BUT doesn't burn and smell like it's going to burn itself like others.
Buy it NoW!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Cazster Nice easy to use health grill
I've had my health grill a month now & I love it. It's easy to use, easy to clean and the food when infused with the smoking chips has a lovely, distinctive taste. It's quite a large product to have in your kitchen but it looks stylish on your work top.
