The buttons fail in under 12 months making the unit inoperable. Repeated attempts to claim under warranty from Philips were ignored. Spend your money on something else.

Such a clever and natural way to wake up. Quite inspiring technology and thought process. Well done

I purchased one of these dusk lamps as a friend had said they had one and the dusk light really helped them get up in the morning. I thought I would try this as I really struggle in the Autumn/Winter months when it is darker in the mornings. As soon as I used this product, it was immediately easier to get up in the morning. This may be psychological but it works for me. It also has a clock and and radio function which I like and this particular model has the option of a USB to play your own music if you want. Highly recommended.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Mark54 Excellent product, aids waking up
Gives a very warm wake up light. Really does feel like sunlight rather than a build. Only knocked points off as the controls can be a bit fiddly. Still a great product!

This is a brilliant way of waking up gently and easing into the start of the day. I usually wake up before the bird tweets sound that I have set my alarm too but even it starts tweeting, my first thought is that the birds are up early (winter) and in summer it just adds to the sounds outside. It even get our cats up on the window sills inquisitively.

Rated 3 out of 5 by GuidoTKP Works well, but fiddly to set up and operate
I've had one of these for about ten months. It does the job well: light comes on slowly to aid gentle waking and the radio function is fine to listen to as you are waking up. However, the buttons are not well designed and are fiddly to use. For example they are all push and rotate buttons (push operates one function, eg on/off; rotate operates another, eg volume) which means you can end up using one function when you wanted to use the other.
Styling is a question of taste. I wouldn't describe this as chic, but it isn't ugly either (my wife disagrees with the latter).

Having struggled with waking up on dark winter mornings for years I invested in a Philips Wake-up light 2 years ago.
It really is a big help in the winter as its glow slowly fills the room starting 30 mins before the alarm goes off to slowly bring you to conciousness!
I had been reluctant to buy one because of the price - which I still think of as expensive - but you have to look on it as an investment.

Rated 4 out of 5 by CA12 Good features but fiddly to use
This product is great for gently waking you up on a dark winter's morning. The light and radio come on slowly 30 mins before wake up time to ease you into the day. The product is however quite painful to use. Trying to change any settings or switch between light, radio and on or off is not as straightforward as I would like.
