A great product that does everything you'd expect.
An extremely versatile product. Has a solid feel to it and the 600 watt motor means it can cope with most foods. Really good for chopping and blending. Excellent for soups.

Splashes no matter what...
this is not my first one, i have used different models since 1989, this is the first one i cannot use, if i could change the bar to a model that does not splash, then i will give a better review, but i dont know where to get the suitable bar, or which model could be compatible

Terrible. Splashes everywhere. Impossible to use.
Design of blade-cover is unsuitable for strength of motor. It splashes everywhere, however deep the saucepan. And I do know how to use them, I know they have to be fully immersed. Main point of a hand-blender rather than a conventional blender is to use it in saucepans, bowls, etc, without transfering to a beaker, but even its own beaker doesn't quite cope. Philips have since introduced a different design for this non-variable speed version and only use this design for the variable-speed model, but as I had this in its box for some time before my old one eventually died I have no proof of purchase, and Philips will not replace it. So much for buying a reliable make. I've used various makes of hand-blender for possibly about 30 years, even before most people realised they existed, and this is the worst one. I'll have to bin it and buy a cheaper model.
