I have had two Philips Avance Juicers. The first one lasted
one year which I think was good service juicing every day.
The motor broke down. I bought another similar juicer in July
2015 and that broken down after one month. The motor
burned out. Argos replaced it and I am now happily back
juicing. Perhaps the motor needs further R&D. But I cannot
complain about the service they both gave me.

Have had two of these juicers go faulty now within a year. Same as others, with smoke coming from motor. Pity as unit is relatively easy to clean and works well, when working! Would not recommend this product. Looking for a refund now, to put into a more reliable juicer. Unsure if this would be a Philips though.

I am now about to send the fourth juicer back. I bought the first just before Christmas - it lasted about 3 weeks then there was a strong smell of melting plastic, a bit of smoke and everything stopped working. I bought it from Tesco Direct and the promptly sent a replacement. This same thing has happened with the next 3 juicers.
While the juicer worked it was great, easy to use and clean and made lovely juice.

I have had this juicer approx 3 months and just burned out on me this morning, very disappointed with it
I ignored all the bad reviews as wanted to make my own opinion, but this is obviously a fault you have with this particular juicer.
It is a shame as I do like this juicer compared to others I have used/seen.

although it it is a well designed and performing juicer, it is of a very poor quality made. had 3, all burned. really waste of time.

Bought this juicer two months ago from Currys. It broke down after two weeks - I used it only few times (max 6-8). Got a replacement same Juicer but it broke AGAIN after 3 weeks of use. I don't want other one as it is obviously a fault with motor and yes I have used it as instructed. I would like my money back and this product investigated by a watchdog...

Would be ok if it wasn't for the smoke and the horrible burning smell - having now read all the other reviews on the web it is clear that this a known serious fault. Took it straight back to John Lewis for a refund.
