I was looking to replace my previous electric toothbrush which was also a Philips. I searched but the only choice for me was another Phillips because my previous one was comfortable to use, and did everything I wanted from an electric toothbrush.

Well this is my first electric toothbrush takes a bit of getting usto very easy to use though nice size my teeth feel very clean afterwards have to say two minutes isn't enough for me so use clean setting then whitening. I have white teeth as I'm a non smoker don't drink tea or coffee or alcohol but I have noticed my teeth are looking a bit whiter next visit to dentist might tell me something good hopefully I'm glad I bought this product would recommend never going back to manual

This is my third Sonicare toothbrush which indicates that I have been very happy with the cleaning performance etc.
The only disappointment is that the previous brush lasted not quite three years before failing (battery would not charge).

I bought a healthy white 2 years ago. 2 weeks before the year was up, the product failed, luckily it was from Boots and there was no problem returning it, from their point of view at any rate. To get a replacement, was now the healthy white+, plus being the operative word as the cost had now gone up and I, of course, had to pay the difference. Then, about 3 weeks ago with just a couple of weeks left, the second one failed. A few days before, it had done something odd while I was using it, switched itself off before the end, or something. But this particularly day it stopped mid clean and would not turn back on again! Eventually, I got it to switch back on and managed to finish cleaning my teeth. Couple of days later, there was this dreadful noise from the bathroom and the toothbrush had turned itself on, the terrible din being from the chrome bathroom shelving where it is kept - and it wouldn't turn off! When it eventually did, it indicated low charge and my husband suggested recharging it and seeing how it went. I however was less enthusiastic (my toothbrush!) and thought I was in danger of getting outside my 12 month warranty. Incidentally, for the rest of that day, it periodically kept turning itself on, complete with 30 second reminders and switching off after its allotted 2 minutes!!! Boots were brilliant again and gave me a refund. I have not purchased a replacement.

Rated 5 out of 5 by IdleLad No need to take the charger on holiday
I bought this because my previous toothbrush (not Philips) needed charging every 2 days (after several years use). The Philips claimed 21 days and it has, so far, lasted over 21 days before it needed charging again. Although there are reports that sonic toothbrushes do not work as well as other electric toothbrushes I have used them for many years and my dentist says that my brushing is excellent and this brush feels to clean better than others despite having a relatively small brush head.

I think this is my third Sonicare and since the last one was bought in 2010 and technically is still working you could say they are a good buy. From the first time I ever used one, my teeth actually felt clean afterwards. Even my dentist is impressed in fact last time I went he did say given my age (passed 70) my teeth were in excellent condition.
So, easy to use, battery last around 2/3 weeks (dependent on how old your brush is), looks nice on its stand and makes a magnificent job. I do help by not drinking red wine, drink black tea through a straw and keep away from sweets and chocolate.
My teeth are proof that it works.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SuzyZazzle Good product that does what it says!
Generally this 'does as it says on the tin'. Although i just use it to clean my teeth rather than using the whitening action. Glad i didnt get the other Philips toothbrush that was on offer at the same time, which did several more things. My previous brush did whitening and cleaning together which would be my preference. I just want to keep my life simple...
The battery lasts for at least a good week away from the charger.
The only thing i'm not looking forward to is buying replacement heads which are usually quite expensive (tbc).

Rated 5 out of 5 by Yuey Best upgrade without blowing the bank
Have been using a HX6930 for almost 7 years, and it finally died on me with random buzzing and sorry battery life. Yes I could replace the battery according to YouTube. But I think opening would damage the seals and anyway would be nice to get the latest and up to date model. I had option to get a free replacement but without a receipt the only option was to buy new. Did my research and this HX8911 was the best option for the price a little more then I wanted to spend but can used my spare heads and fit my sterilising base charger. Plus this new one has higher vibrate speed of 62k and WOW what a difference. If you need a replacement or just looking for a very VERY GOOD Electric toothbrush this is the one and it doesn't blow the bank.
