Got the RQ12+ as replacement head for my super RQ10 Arcitec. Lord knows there'a enough negative feedback about this unit, but no, I had to go and waste my money to prove it. Suppose I put too much trust in Philips after all these years. All the bad comments are true. Awkward to use, difficult to clean, uncomfortable, etc. Oh, and it gives a comparatively poor shave too! (No wonder original RQ10 heads are on sale elsewhere for more than twice the price!) Be warned...

I bought the Senso Touch 3D as it was an upgrade only previous SmartTouchXL.I spoke with Philips Customer Service before deciding which new model to buy. After about two years usage I bought a replacement head and this has lasted only six months. It now scrapes my face. My old Senso Touch cuts closer and is much more comfortable to use and I reverted to using that.

I purchased this as a replacement for the original Senso Touch 3D head on my shaver and have used it for a month now. Although it does generally give a shave as close as the original did when new, it is not as good for those awkward areas of the face and is less comfortable to use. It feels significantly less robust than the original and worst still the removable foil head has fallen off on 3 occasions during shaving. Having originally purchased an expensive shaver specifically for the 3D head I actually feel pretty cheated that the original 3D design is no longer available and I am concerned about the durability of this replacement.

As my beard is quite fine, I plan to replace my shaver blades about every 2 years. I bought this complete head about 18 months ago and about 6 months later I had to replace the orange plastic rings that hold the cutters in place; these too have now failed through normal wear and tear. The shaver body has been outstanding never needing any maintenance. After 16 years it still holds its charge for nearly three weeks. However, this head does not represent value for money.

This replacement head is neither as well built as the original nor as easy to clean. It's difficult and frustrating to detach the blades to clean. The previous individual hinged blades were very simple and robust. The head also clicks as the blades are moved across the face and the assembly does not feel like a quality product. On a positive side, the shave is close and smooth.

MY SENSO TOUCH SHAVER WHICH HAD RQ1251 HEADS WAS REPLACED WITH RQ1260 THE ONLY AVAILABLE WHICH IS A DIFFERENT DESIGN. EVEN THOUGH PHILIPS SENT ME THE CLAMPING TOOL FREE OF CHARGE, ONE OF THE CUTTER CLAMPS POPS OUT EVERY TIME I USE IT, NEVER HAD AN ISSUE WITH THE ORIGINAL, NOW I AM FORCED TO REPLACE AGAIN AFTER A YEAR!
