I received this product as a gift and knew nothing about its effects.. until I tried it! After 1 week, my skin is so soft, so much healthier looking.. I am truly impressed.
If I had known that earlier, I would have bought it myself a long time ago.

The design of the product is good, but the brush of it might too rough for fragile skin.
Not sure the original brush is fit for washing both face and neck.

It's a really great product and significantly improved my skin condition. I received an extra brush from Philips after couple of weeks but sadly not the one I wanted.

I definitely feel this product cleans my face better than simply using my hands and a face wash.
It's a bit backward though for the product to be so overtly aimed at women-even to the point the customer survey was totally aimed at females.
I was disappointed that within about 2 months of buying the product it malfunctioned and had a life of its own. Thankfully the retailer (Tesco Direct) had a great returns policy and simply swapped it out.
It does concern me, however, that the replacement could break and I'd then potentially be out of warranty in the future. Many reviews I've read state that the product has broken and been replaced, I only hope that Philips will continue to assist after a year has passed when the retailer is not liable. It's unacceptable for such an expensive product to expect to be replaced so quickly otherwise.
The charger, as many others state, is a bit rubbish but it does the job.

The cleansing brush has really improved my skin overtime and it's very convenient to use in the shower. Easy to charge and to use. All very good, except by the fact that it breaks in less than 6 months of use therefore a quite expensive product for such short time of usage.

The VisaPure's main function is to cleanse, it claims to be 10x more effective than regular hands. After one week of using this product, I have found that the skin does feel clearer than usual but could this be because I usually do not spend a minute or more in my usual routine.
There are 3 components, the charger, the body and the brush. It is each of these components which is poorly designed which lets the product down. First of all the charger which the visapure sits into is of lightweight construction and due to the length and weight of product it just takes a gentle touch to knock it off its base. I would have preferred contact-less charging as found in modern electric toothbrushes. Considering I own the Philips sonicare diamond clean a standard charging port should be adopted by Philips, whereby the same charging base can be used, that would be great for the green credentials of the device.
The main body itself resembles more of a microphone as used by newscasters so if you find yourself interviewing the shower-head don't be surprised. I feel the preset angle for the brush head is also naive and would expect Philips to take design cues from its sensotouch shaver allowing the brush head to have 3 way flex and pivot action. In terms of the preset speed possibly allowing at least two speeds, cleanse and exfoliate which could work in tandem with the brush heads.
The brush heads that I received and ordered separately seem to fray like a cheap paintbrush and I feel more R&D would be expected for something which costs as much as it does.
and Finally: The packaging.. wasteful.. no need for so much packaging. The packaging could be shrunk so it can fit through a letterbox.
Conclusions: I hope someone in Philips reads this and invites me to come in and help them redesign and repackage this. Alas that will not happen, but I hope potential customers find this review useful.
