After doing much research for a reliable set of earphones for listening to music during my marathon training runs, I settled on buying a set of Philips Ear hook Headphones SHS8100.
Despite the pleasing aesthetics and comfort in the ear the first pair I bought only lasted 6 months with the wire connection failing in the left earpiece speaker. Unperturbed I bought another set only for the same to happen again in 4 months this time.
All in all very disappointing as I would expect much better from a Philips branded product.

So good i've bought another.
I've had a pair of these for years and have used them when i visited gym's. Younger days. Great fit great sound from this price point. If you want audiophile quality buy some over the ear headphones but if you want comfy on the go sound with earbuds that stay in your ear then these are for you. I've just bought another pair so that i can leave a set at work and not bother to take them back and forth, so if i forget in the future it doesn't matter. Only down is that the rubber buds can come off if say you've put them in a pocket and they get caught when retrieving. Spares can be bought from online retailers. Never had issues with wiring at all.

I have purchased around 3 of these. They last only around 1 year after the wires becoming loose and sound eventually stops working. Further, the rubber ear buds tend to come off easily and I always lost them, therefore I had to buy backups quite often. I wore the smallest earbuds, and they would start moving out of my ear only after a long time of wearing.
On the other hand, sound quality is really good and clear.

They may fit well...
but they don't stay on my ears even with minimal tugs to the wires. This was dissapointing especially as they were marketed for sports use. I put the biggest ear fitting on and its still not a snug fit. If I still had them I'd go back to my other headphones of similar design but without the round-the-ear contraption which doesn't work in this case. Would take these back if I had a better reason.
