Philips PicoPix Notebook pocket projector PPX1020 20 lumens
Don't try with Retina Mac
I bought one of these second hand, so didn't see that the Philips site says it works up to OSX 10.7. I have a Retina Mac running Mountain Lion (10.8) and the results are rather extreme - Immediate and repeatable crash.

impossible to load onto my computer
I have not been able to load the pico pix 1020 onto my computer. The Philips.com welcome website is ridiculous- its websites are per product- gave up looking for pico pix 1020 model amongst the vast array of websites.

I brought this to use in the front room the video quality is terrible the picture goes all glitchy which I didn't expect its not good for streaming movies that you have on your computer BUT is OK for DVDs from your notebook or pad but kind of defeats the object if you need to carry DVDs around with you rather than making use of your computers internal memory but hey each to their own you make up your own mind

Slightly tricky to install the software, it froze in XP, but was fine in Windows7 (hence ease of use score average). My old laptop (XP) warned about 'current surge' when it powered up but no problems with overheating. My modern laptop #Win7# had to downgrade its display mode to use the projector. This also worried me until I realised how to reset it #again the ease of use score of average#. The image is bright and the colours reasonably good. Focus is manual but easy to adjust #and not that its critical given the image size#. I use it for power point presentations and displaying engineering drawings and am really astonished that a budget projector can be so good.

Good and Portable
I did try this projector was great and weight and display. highly recommended. The only disadvantage is it does not run on MA OS. So it ran inside a VMWARE anyway.
