    Refurbishment gives products a
    second chance

Without refurbishment, products sold online then returned to us would end up in a recycling pile - simply because the packaging has been opened and the product may have been used. It’s a waste – of resources, energy, and potential. Our most sustainable choice is to keep products in circulation for as long as possible. It’s why we started our refurbishment program.

The idea of circularity is nothing new, of course. Perhaps you already shop for ‘pre-loved’ clothes, restored furniture, or pass items on to friends and family. Refurbishment is a part of circularity because it keeps quality products where they belong – in use.

    sustainability story

Philips is a health technology company and we understand our responsibility for sustainable design and manufacturing. We have a lot of work to do, and refurbishment is just one of the positive changes we're making to reduce our impact.

By choosing refurbished products - or just spreading the word around them - you can help make refurbishment second nature, so we can all work toward a healthier, happier planet.
