    Why is this sustainable?


    Our actions have a direct impact on the environment. At Philips, we are working hard to achieve all our ambitious sustainability targets. To make it as easy as possible for you to create impact too, we are offering this easy and free way to recycle from home.

    What happens to your product once you ship it?

    1. All collected devices are taken to a trusted reprocessing plant.
    2. There, whenever possible, they are responsibly separated into different components.
    3. The original raw materials can then be used to create something new.

    What products are eligible?
    All electric shaving/grooming devices are eligible. We accept devices from any brand or condition. You can also recycle detachable shaver heads, as well as Philips OneBlade blades.

    For now, we are not taking disposable razors - only electronic devices and their components.

    You can send as many products as you want - and we encourage you to send them together, to minimize the transportation carbon footprint for this program.
    We will send all of them to our recycling partners, and e-mail the vouchers to the address you provide us.
    Can I recycle other Philips products?
    Yes. Philips also runs a dental care recycling program in partnership with TerraCycle®. Please click here for more information.
    What happens to my shaver or trimmer?
    Philips works closely with certified partners, to ensure recycling is carried out in the best way. Olympic Shavers collects all shipped materials and their recycling partner Sims manages the recycling of all eligible devices.

    This means that all collected items will be sent to Olympic Shavers, and once there is enough waste to begin recycling, it is sent to Sims, who will begin processing all eligible devices for re-use. Recycling the materials saves the energy and environmental costs associated with producing new materials from virgin sources.

    How does it work?
    Sending in your device is very easy! Simply follow these steps:

    1. Sign up for the program
    2. Receive an e-mail with your prepaid shipping label
    3. Pack your device and ship it for free
    4. Get your Philips Shop voucher!

    You can then pick your new product and enjoy it for years to come.
    How can I prepare my item(s) for sending?
    We vividly suggest reusing any box you might already have lying around: a cereals box, a shoe box... anything goes.

    Place your device inside - remember to be careful, as  old electric shaver heads / blades can still be quite sharp.

    We recommend:
    Make sure all items are dry.
    Find old paper/newspaper/bubble wrap/bags.
    Wrap the item(s) up, fully covering them.
    Place them in a box, ensuring everything is tightly packed, so they don't move on their way.

    Remember to be careful at all times!

    Then seal the box and add the shipping label. You should be good to go.
    I live outside the UK. How should I proceed?
    First and foremost: thank you for your interest. Together, one step at a time, we can make the world a better place.

    For now, we are only running this initiative in the UK - this means that all items must be shipped there and the issued vouchers are only valid for the Philips UK webshop.

    In the meantime, following us on social media and sharing this initiative would greatly help. This will allow us to extend it to other countries.

    When do I get my voucher?
    Once you get the shipping label and ship your device, you will receive an e-mail with your discount voucher within 3-5 business days.

    You can then pick your new product at the Philips Webshop and enjoy it for years to come.
    Does the voucher have using conditions?
    Yes, it does:

    You have 30 days to acquire your new Philips product.
    The voucher only works at the Philips UK webshop.
    The voucher only applies to specific Philips Male Grooming products.
    The voucher only works once.
    The voucher cannot be used in conjunction with any other voucher code.

    How often should I change my razor blade or shaving head?
    It always depends on how often you use it.
    A good rule of thumb would be:
    Changing your Philips One Blade razor blade every 3 months.
    Changing your Philips Shaver head every year.

    For non-Philips products, kindly check with the provider.
