How to clean my Philips AquaTrio Vacuum Cleaner after use

    Published on 09 January 2023
Cleaning your Philips AquaTrio Vacuum Cleaner will help to keep your appliance in optimal condition. Depending on your model, please see below for the maintenance necessary to ensure long-lasting performance.

    1.1 AquaTrio 9000 series - Vacuum only set-up

    Dust bucket
Regularly empty the dust bucket and make sure that the dirt never exceeds the 'Max' indication to prevent accelerated filter clogging. If necessary, remove the cyclone and clean any hair and dirt that is stuck in and under it. While you can rinse the cyclone under the tap, please make sure never to rinse the dust bucket. You can use a wet or dry cloth to clean the inside the of the dust bucket.

    Important Note:
    • Please make sure that the electronic connectors inside the dust bucket remain dry to prevent the appliance from malfunctioning over time.
    • Do not clean the dust bucket in the dishwasher.
    • Do not rinse the dust bucket under the tap.

    Filter
When the filter needs to be cleaned, the filter clean icon appears on the display (see image a) Take the foam filter out of the filter case, shake it over a waste bin to remove the dirt, rinse the foam filter under a tap and squeeze it to remove the water. Let the foam filter dry completely before you put it back into the filter holder.

    Roller brush
Dirt or hair can get trapped around the brush of your Philips cordless vacuum cleaner and may cause the roller brush to get stuck. You can slide the roller brush out of the LED nozzle with the locking lever. Then slide down the roller brush with your hand or use a pair of scissors through the groove on the roller brush to cut around any entangled hair or thread. For further instructions, see image b.

    1.2 Vacuum & Mop set-up

To prevent odours and scale deposits, please use the AUTOCLEAN function after every use to clean your full appliance in approximately 4 minutes (see image c). When AUTOCLEAN is ready, you can remove the microfibre brushes from the AquaSpin nozzle and store them in the dedicated holder on the storage station.

    Important Note:
    • The microfibre brushes are not machine-washable.
    • Never use detergent for the AUTOCLEAN function as this might lead to excessive foaming.
    • Please make sure that the dirty water tank is connected correctly before running the AUTOCLEAN function to prevent water spilling from the tray. You should hear a "click" sound when connecting the dirty water tank.

For further step-by-step instructions, please check the video or user manual.

    Flushing the appliance
We advise you to flush the appliance after every use to prevent dirt from accumulating and bacteria from growing inside. If you do not flush the appliance after every use, this may lead to an unpleasant smell.

    Cleaning parts
You can also clean each part separately for a thorough clean. The diagram in image a shows how each part of your Philips AquaTrio Pro can be cleaned.

Cleaning the dirty water tank more thoroughly
For extra thorough cleaning, you can pull up the floater attached to the lid of the dirty water tank of the appliance. This enables you to rinse the bottom of the sieve and the floater properly (see image b).
Tip: You can also place the dirty water tank in the dishwasher.
