I got skin irritation after using my Philips ladyshave
It is normal to experience skin irritation after using a ladyshave. This occurs particularly on sensitive body parts like the bikini area and should disappear soon.
To avoid irritated skin:
Ensure that your skin is clean, entirely dry and free from grease
Make sure that you move the epilator in the right direction (against the direction of hair growth) and that you hold it at the correct angle (70 degree angle to your skin)
Make sure that the integrated trimmer and the shaving foil are fully in contact with the skin. Do not press the appliance too firmly onto the skin, as this may cause skin irritation.
Check if any part of the shaving head (or precision trimming head, if available) is broken. Replace the shaving head with an original Philips shaving head if it is.
To relax the skin:
We advise you to apply a mild and alcohol-free moisturising cream immediately after or a few hours after shaving, depending on what is better for your skin. If you have very sensitive skin, a certain amount of irritation cannot be avoided.
If the irritation lasts longer than 3 days, we advise you to consult a doctor.
