My Philips steam generator iron produces a strong smell

In some cases, it could be that you notice a strong smell coming from your Philips iron. If this happens, learn more here.

The smell comes from the water tank

At the end of the lifetime of the Anti-Calc cartridge, sometimes it will release a strong fishy smell. When you notice this smell, the Anti-Calc cartridge will no longer function properly - it is time to replace the cartridge with a new one.

Replace the Anti-Calc cartridge with a new one.

The soleplate is producing the unpleasant smell
