The Philips Sonicare Toothbrush is designed to brush your teeth without too much effort on your part. Use these instructions to get started with your Philips Sonicare Toothbrush.
Instructions to use your Philips Sonicare Toothbrush
Wet the bristles of the brush head
Apply a small amount of toothpaste
Place the bristles against your teeth at a 45° angle, towards the gum line
Press the power button to start brushing
Apply light pressure and move the brush head slowly across the teeth in a small back-and-forth motion, allowing the brush to do the work
Continue this motion throughout your brushing cycle
Some Philips Sonicare Toothbrush models come with a Quadpacer feature. If you have the Quadpacer feature, you can divide your mouth into four sections (see image step 6). The Quadpacer will vibrate intermittently to tell you to move on to the next section.
Note: Do not scrub. To maximise, only apply light pressure and let the toothbrush do the brushing for you
Tips for use:
Before switching the toothbrush on, place the bristles of the brush head on your gum line at a 45-degree angle.
Become a pro
Close your mouth as much as needed to prevent toothpaste splattering. Turn the brush on
Hold the handle with a light grip. Do not grip the handle, but hold it gently at the edges. Switch the toothbrush on, and glide the brush across your teeth, gently, allowing the brush to do the work
To maximise effectiveness, apply only light pressure and let the toothbrush do the brushing for you
Do not scrub
If your Sonicare has the Quadpacer feature, you can make sure you brush evenly throughout the mouth by dividing your mouth into 4 sections and using the Quadpacer feature to brush each section for an equal amount of time
