    'Channel has been removed from service' notification on my Philips DVDR

    When you are unable to receive a particular channel and you see the message “Channel has been removed from service“, it means that strength of the incoming signal is insufficient. Please contact your service provider to verify whether the transmission is interrupted and consult an antenna specialist if this is not the case. Important: Be aware that this message indicates that the loss of signal is caused by a factor other than your recorder. Sending your DVD recorder in for service will therefore not improve the situation.
