Cannot update my Philips DLA9990 home dock HD

    Published on 2017-08-24

Troubleshooting Guide If you have any problems updating your HomeDock HD, please look over this guide. 1)The HomeDock HD never reaches the updating screen We have experienced an issue with some HomeDock HDs during the update process. The issue concerns the HomeDock HD not recognizing the update. Under this condition the HomeDock HD will either display a black screen indefinitely, attempt to reboot indefinitely, or output no video indefinitely. If you find yourself in one of these situations, please follow these steps: * Unplug the USB thumb drive from the HomeDock HD * Unplug the power supply from the HomeDock HD * Let the HomeDock HD sit for at least 5 minutes. * Plug the USB thumb drive back in * Plug the power source back in. If the problem persists, please feel free to contact us for further support. 2) The HomeDock HD goes through the series of updating screens, but remains inactive indefinitely. A second problem we have seen happens after the HomeDock HD has updated. After the user has removed the memory stick the HomeDock never fully boots back up. The procedure for this problem is as follows: * Make sure the Memory Stick is removed * Unplug the HomeDock HD * Let the HomeDock HD sit for at least 5 minutes * Plug the power supply back into the HomeDock HD If the problem persists, please feel free to contact us for further support. Please be aware that neither of these solutions will cause any type of damage to the HomeDock HD. The flashing process is over once you remove the memory stick. We are working toward a permanent solution, but this temporary solution will get you up and running on Software Version 1.0.5.
