My Philips Air Purifier is too loud

    Published on 18 December 2023
If your Philips Air Purifier is too loud, learn about the potential causes and solutions below.
The noise you might hear coming from your Philips Air Purifier is produced by the operation of the motor and the fan.

Your Philips Air Purifier has been designed to minimise this noise, but in some situations (such as when trying to sleep or in a silent room) you may hear it.

If this is the case, please change the fan speed to a lower level or to sleep mode.

When in Auto mode, your Philips Air Purifier uses sensors to detect invisible changes in the air and adjusts the fan speed to restore good air quality as quickly as possible.

To reduce the noise level of the device, you can adjust the fan speed manually or switch to Sleep mode.

The information below applies only to model AC3680.
When you activate the automatic floating-hair collection system on your Philips Air Purifier, you may hear some noise created by the working scraper. Although your Philips Air Purifier has been designed to make as little noise as possible, you may still hear some noise in quiet rooms or environments. You can activate the system whenever you want and stop it whenever you need. Additionally, you can set your device to sleep mode, which will prevent the automatic floating-hair collection system from being triggered. Lastly, the automatic floating-hair collection system will not be triggered at night (or when the room is dark) due to the light sensor.

If you hear an abnormal noise while the inner scraper is working, please contact us for further assistance.
