    Troubleshooting

The blue light is blinking on my Philips Steam Generator Iron

If the iron-ready light on your Philips Steam Generator Iron is blinking blue, this might be related to the heating or water filling. Please read our troubleshooting advice below to solve this.

The iron-ready light (on the handle) is blinking blue

The blue "iron ready" light on the handle of your Philips Steam Generator Iron is blinking blue when your iron is heating up. When the blue light stays on, your iron is ready to use.

If the blue light keeps blinking for more than 5 minutes and none of the situations mentioned below apply, please contact us for further assistance.

The blue light is moving back and forth on the handle

Your iron has a blue "iron ready" light on the handle that moves back and forth during movement when you are using the intelligent automatic steam mode. This is normal behaviour. If you want to exit the mode, press the "intelligent automatic steam" button on top of the handle of your iron.

Note: This solution applies only to irons equipped with intelligent automatic steam mode.

The blue light is blinking quickly on the handle

This section only applies to PerfectCare Aqua and AquaPro models.

If the blue "iron ready" light is flashing quickly in your Philips PerfectCare Aqua or AquaPro Steam Generator Iron, the water container is empty and needs to be refilled. Fill in the water container with water and thereafter press the steam trigger. Once the iron-ready light turns steady blue, you can use your iron again.

The blue light (on the base or the handle) is blinking blue in between use

This means that your Philips Steam Generator Iron is at Auto shut-off status. Depending on the model of your iron, please press the steam trigger again or the ON/OFF button to switch it back on.

Did none of the solutions solve the issue? Please contact us for further assistance.
