What should I do if I don't trust the reading?

    Published on 2018-03-01

If you are unsure whether the reading of the thermometer is correct, and especially when you suspect a fever, please consult your doctor. Philips emphasises that it is important not to rely solely on the temperature measurement of the product, and not to delay treatment in case of doubt about the measurement and/or a fever for any patient. This is especially valid for when the patient is a newborn (0-3 months), small child (4-36 months) or patient of any age who may not be able to communicate or take care of themselves.
