Well balanced with a big flaw
After 2 days of testing and setting up I ended up with a well balanced and sharp picture for SD and HD content. The amblight is welcome as usual. The sound is a bit dull and somehow in the background. The picture is overall well balanced, with little clouding but with some obvious vertical bending, visible at fast movements (panning).
For viewing normal content SD and HD the brightness is more then enough. The Android experience is good, fast enough and the remote with integrated keyboard on the back is welcome. Reading from USB works like a charm and browsing on a USB 3.0 drive is very fast. I did not encounter a format that would not play so far. But the USB player has a big issue. I did not find a solution so far. The picture format setting is not working!!! This is a major issue. The setting is not greyed out but switching between (original, wide, stretch,...) does nothing. So you end up with the format stretched to full screen (4:3 content stretched horizontally and 21:9 movies stretched vertically) which is a NO GO. If there is no solution for this problem I will return the TV and suggest other not to buy it if they like to watch movies form a hard drive.

Great TV for General Purpose Viewing
Picture settings out of the box are poor, but spend some time calibrating the picture and you end up with a really detailed, vibrant and very watchable picture. Start from ISF Day and tweak as needed would be my recommendation. HDR looks amazing and even broadcast programs look great as long as they are HD; SD looks fine, but has a softness to it. Being an IPS panel you don't get great black levels, but they are ok especially in a normally lit room and viewing angles are really good. Android TV is quick to respond and shows promise, even if content is a little thin right now; hopefully will improve. Recommended as a general purpose TV for a large room, especially if you can get a good price.
