6000 series4K Ultra-Slim Smart LED TV

Love this TV! The picture is great (once set up properly, it’s not so good straight out of the box). 4K HDR films on it are amazing, detail is spot on and the ambilight functions beautifully. I’ve owned ambilight TVs for around 10 years, this latest version seems to have far richer colours/more saturation from the ambilight. It’s nice and slim and has an elegant stand. I’m very happy with this purchase, especially how cheap it retails at!!

Before I bought this I thought the Ambilight might be a gimmick even though it did appeal to me. Once I got it though I have to say I think the Ambilight feature is brilliant and it really lights up the room (no pun intended). Very happy with the picture and sound and it was easy to set up, think it is great value for money. However, the Smart TV OS can be buggy, occasionally apps get caught in a loop or freeze and you have to pull the power out and restart the TV from scratch. Turning it off and on again from the remote doesn't seem to fix it. Apart from that, delighted with it and hopefully those bugs will be fixed with an update.

Absolutely love this TV picture quality is excellent looks great sound is a bit low but have got a sound bar on it to boost it I would definitely recommend this product for the money the lights at the back sets the mood great it's a Philips meaning it will be good quality and last for years

Wanted a 4k hdr tv mainly for the ps4 pro. Spent a while researching on the internet and the ambilight had me hooked. There where a few bad reviews regarding input lag for gaming but I decided to bite the bullet and go for it. I am very pleased I did and was happy to find with a bit of tweaking in the settings the ps4 pro is absolutely stunning. No input lag that I can find . 4K and Hdr is amazing and the ambilight really shines when gaming . SD tv could be better but HD and 4k is very good. Smart options are a little basic but has everything I need mainly youtube, which in 4k is amazing. Very happy with purchase , would recommend for ps4 pro gaming.

Great TV!! Ambelight gives a great immersive experience! it is easy to use., you choose when and what programs to use it with. The picture is very crisp with bright! Smart function works very well

We have bought Phillips brand items many times over the years but do their ‘new age’ TV’s rate? In a nutshell, yes they do - amazingly so. When the box arrived, it’s really a two person job to get it indoors safely as the box is quite large as it does contain a 50inch screen TV after all. We opened the top of the box as outlined in the graphics printed on it to do so, then we carefully laid the box down on its side before sliding it out onto a blanket on a large rug. The set itself looks very good in its metal effect surround. Before anything else, we screwed the ‘base’ or leg on - two screws either side, four in total, and to be honest this is the biggest let down as the said ‘stand’ or call it what you like is so tacky as it basically a bent bit of metal and I am not being unkind here but it looks tacky, even a visiting friend thought the same and if there was ever a time to consider a wall mounting bracket, this is it folks. Once we had the ‘stand’ attached it was placed on the TV cabinet we use and it looks really smart, really impressed and surpasses our current Samsung model we have in the looks dept. Once plugged in its a doddle to set up but not knowing about the ‘Ambilight’ feature - the supplied written fast start type ‘instructions’ are very basic with diagrams but no mention of this feature - and to be honest I thought the set was on fire with all the bright white flashes that were lighting the wall up behind the set as it was going through its set up sequence!. The reason being is it has this unique Ambilight feature, new to us, that is a clever idea in that on the back are assorted coloured LED’s on both sides plus the top section but are not seen from the front that cover the back edges that can either light or flash away as required - there is an ‘off’ choice by the way - and the choice of assorted modes is amazing from a steady white light or glow to something that might put a small disco to shame, believe me. Smart features abound as do the assorted apps plus a dedicated button on the remote for Netflix should you be a subscriber. There are HDMI connections x 3, USB’s x 2, Component in x 1,Wireless connections: Wi-Fi 11n 2x2 integrated, Wi-Fi Direct, Antenna Satellite Connector, Common Interface Plus (CI+), Digital audio out (optical), Ethernet-LAN RJ-45, Audio L/R in plus a useful headphone out socket. The remote control, with 2 batteries supplied, is not ‘over buttoned’ but quite stylish without being too flashy. The initial setting up took about 15 minutes or so but to be honest I was not counting the minutes plus another little while for it to update itself once connected to the broadband. The picture, with so many tweaks to cater for a lot of people’s tastes is amazing or just set it to ‘factory settings’ on the menu if preferred but either way, the picture is quite something - VERY impressed overall. The Ambilight feature really comes into itself when we played the ‘Saturday Night Fever’ DVD as to see the film with the screen resolution plus in fantastic colour with the wall lit up behind it in sequence with the LED lights is amazing and has to be seen - it blew us away!!!. As with most, if not all, flat screen TV’s (yet to hear of one that is perfect relying on the in-built speakers as supplied) its always the sound that suffers and this TV is in that category to be honest but hence like most people we know we use an additional sound bar for decent sound reproduction but in saying that the ‘normal’ TV sound is quite adequate for watching broadcast programmes but as outlined,but with DVD’s or Blue Ray discs, the sound bar really brings the quality out but its once again a personal choice. Overall this is one amazing television and as I write this review we are still going through assorted sub menus (through choice by the way in case you might be wondering!) and finding even more things to try out. Bearing in mind the picture quality, stunning in a word and the assorted features (oh the amazing Ambilight feature...) within its sleek shell and the competitive price (December 2017), its really good value (disregarding the clunky ‘stand’ or base).

een prachtige tv werkt eigenlijk heel simpel makkelijk te instaleren. het beeld is vlijm scherp maar ik heb hem naar eigen inzicht in gesteld en dat is perfect de smart functie werkt goed simpel en snel. heb wel de handleiding gedownload voor de functies verder ik vindt het een goede tv.
