Very very good until it stopped workingHaving been in the military for over 20 years, I do know a thing or two about what makes a good iron. Whilst this iron worked it was by far the best I had ever used. It has enough weight to help get the creses you want in and the ones you don't want out. Moreover, it produces more steam than the Fying Scotsman with out dribbling like an excited Labrador. Its plate is as smooth as Barry White and it glides like a swan on water, which makes it effortless to use. The auto off function is excellent and the anti calc system works better than any other I have used.
Until one day, just within the 1st year when it would not heat up...:-(

Azur Performer Plus Steam iron glides to ironing perfectionI've now had this iron for a few months and have given myself time to properly evaluate its performance. The first thing I noticed about it is the difference in weight, and therefore ease of use, compared to my 10 year older Azur. Not sure if it'll hold up as long, as the build seems less robust than my old Azur, but it's such a joy to use and makes my ironing nights just that little less of a chore. It just seems to glide effortlessly across my ironing.. so easy to manoeuvrer, and feels so comfortable in my hand. I have quite painful osteoarthritis in my hands, but this iron is so light and comfortable to hold that I'm able to easily attack the dreaded ironing. A good length of cord ensures I can walk around the board to do all parts without having to stop to sort the cord. Great steam available at the push of a button.. but rarely ever needed. So far, really happy with this model of Philips Azur. Performs as awesome as it looks!

Perfect for a variety of bedding and clothingAs an Airbnb host I spend a significant amount of time ironing flat sheets, fitted sheets and duvet covers. The Azur Performer Plus sails through everything you can throw at it with the perfect combination of heat and steam combined with an easy gliding soleplate.
Most impressive for me, living in a very hard water area, is the built-in calc cleaner which has performed impeccably during the 2+ years since my purchase in December 2016.

Very good steam ironI bought this iron as it was rated as a Best Buy by Which? My first one broke down shortly after being switched on for the first time. I didn't manage to finish ironing the first item. However, it was replaced very quickly and the second one worked without a problem.
This iron works well and gives a decent amount of steam. I think it is a bit mean of Philips not to provide a little jug for filing the iron. This is the first one I have bought that doesn't include one.
The cable is a good length although my previous iron had a longer one.

DisappointingHaving read really good reviews on this iron I decided to give it a try, but I have to say I am really disappointed. On my second round of ironing it started leaking brown water on clothes and despite cleaning it, this problem has continued. This means that with each ironing load I end up re-washing at least 1-2 items due to brown marks which is really annoying. Unfortunately I am unable to return the item to the retailer since I didn’t keep the pack again so I am stuck with a useless iron. Very disappointing for Philips.

Good for 2 months then gave out a brown steamI purchased this product and was initially very pleased with it however after around 2 months it suddenly gave out a brown steam ruining the blouse I was ironing, the ironing board and the carpet.
No matter how much I tried cleaning it, it would still give out a brown steam as if it is rusted inside or something.
I paid good money for a product that is no longer useful, please either provide a solution to fix it or provide a replacement.

This is IdealHaving recently purchased our1st Philips Iron, the Azur performer plus, I am very pleased with all the features it possesses.
The steam feature is the best I have ever had, and sheets seem to "fly" under it.

Nothing SpecialDisappointing as product had great reviews. It does steam but does not seem that powerful. I was hoping it would make light work of ironing...not a chance
