Felt positive difference since first use! Can't imagine using anything else!!The feel I got after using this brush for the first time was truly unbelievable. I could not imagine it would make such a huge difference in cleaning. My teeth feel and look a lot cleaner since I started using this amazing toothbrush and I will not be going back to manual/rotational toothbrushes ever again. 5 starts from me and spread the word!! Try it - it is so, so worth it!
I have charged it for the first time for 24 hours as in the manuals, did not need to charge it since. It has been 2 full weeks now, battery indicator still showing the battery being full. I will add an update how long it lasted before second charge. Mind you I use it twice a day, occasionaly 3 times.

This toothbrush does exactly what it says on the tinI am happy with this brush in all aspects. My only adverse comment would be that it wasn’t compatible with my previous one as regards the charging holder. Also I had purchased a tongue cleaner with the previous one and now I can’t use it as it doesn’t fit the new holder. My previous brush lasted less than 1 year though I did get a refund, as the battery went completely.

Good But not very user friendlyWe have been using Sonicare toothbrushes for over 15 years now and we love them. As far as I'm concerned they are the best tooth brushes out there. They keep your teeth healthier whiter and after brushing you get a super-clean feel! I bought the Diamond Clean one as it's supposed to be the BEST . It looks great and most importantly I'm very satisfied with the results hence the 4 star rating. However, it's 5-mode feature is surprisingly very user-unfriendly, which is quite disappointing. There is one single button which serves as the ON/OFF button and it's also the button you use to switch between modes. There are two problems with that: 1) Obviously, before turning the toothbrush on you have to put it in your mouth first otherwise the toothpaste sprays all over the place. Once you have the toothbrush in your mouth you can't see which mode you're using (unless you're using the "Clean" mode which is the first mode) as you can switch between modes only when the toothbrush is turned on. (and also most of the time the toothbrush memorizes the last mode you've used and starts from that one which complicates things...) It's difficult to fully explain but it's highly inconvenient! 2) in the first 4-5 seconds or so after having tuned on the toothbrush, the only way to turn it off is by pressing the button multiple times (up to 5 times if you're on "Clean" mode) in order to do so, which again isn't very practical. I much preferred previous models which had a separate button for mode selection

Overall a good expensive toothbrushI really like the fact I can select ‘sensitive’ brush style for my teeth, I have tried all the other settings and found this is the most comfortable setting for me. Only have to charge the brush up once week and usually use the brush twice daily. I have used an electric toothbrush for over 20 years and this one is easily the best however it is also the most expensive toothbrush I have ever purchased, I’m not really sure how Philips justify the price? The base charging unit comes in two sections and isn’t practically stable so there is a chance the toothbrush could fall off the stand – it seems top heavy. The toothbrush comes with carrycase, different types of chargers plus other bits and bobs that you’ll never probably use - to perhaps justify the price? Overall a good expensive toothbrush.

Good brush when it works!!!!Ok the brush is easy to use, has great performance and lovely stylish design. So why only 2 stars overall you may ask? Well I have had to have it replaced twice. First time my original brush stopped working out of the blue approximately after 12 1/2 months after I bought it. The shop wouldn’t exchange and said I had to deal with a Phillips. Apparently loads of customers had been in to complain about the brush not working just after a year. I got a replacement from Philips and within 6 months it’s battery life was minimal. By 9 months it stopped taking any charge and wouldn’t work!! So I am on my third brush handle which hopefully will last and keep on working as Philips have said they now do not give any extensions to warranty on replacement handles!!

Product lifespan appears to be only 2 yearsMy experience is that I have had 2 identical toothbrushes and both have failed after only two years. They have both failed with exactly the same fault where the shaft seems to break and the head vibrates noisily. So I am left feeling somewhat let down that I now have to get yet another toothbrush. For such an expensive product to fail with the same fault at hte same time is very disappointing. Customer Care's only solution was to tell me to buy a new toothbrush and then offered me a 10% voucher against the cost of buying another one. Very disatisfied with this as there are lots of other users reporting the same fault - obviously a design flaw. A shame, as when working, I really like using the toothbrush :-(

A great clean! If only it would last longer.......My Sonicare Black Diamond Clean was my second toothbrush, my wife also has one.
My first lasted 2 years and 2 months before simply giving up and refusing to work.
I bought the Diamond Clean, but this too has lasted only 2 years!
The product itself is definitely the best I have tried. The machine works brilliantly, and gives a very deep shine and cleanliness which in my opinion cannot be beaten.
Just the one question remains............. how long are they meant to last. Without being cynical, the guarantee lasting two years has meant that I am out of guarantee by days or months in both cases!
Maybe, being a realist, I should only expect two years out of a machine I use every day without fail, twice a day.

Stopped working after two weeksAfter using for two weeks it stopped holding its charge and life was a twice daily adventure as to whether there was enough charge to clean my teeth or not. Sometimes there was enough, but mostly it just stuttered a few times and stopped. This was regardless of whether I left it permanently on charge or not. After a month of frustration I sent it back and bought a competitor product at a quarter of the price. No doubt I could have exchanged the Phillips or had it repaired under guarantee, but for a product this expensive I expect it to work fautlessly twice a day and didn't want to hassle of trying again in case I had the same experience.
