The software is very unreliable
It doesn’t look as if there has been a software update since 2015. It is a rare event to get all the cameras up and running without the page freezing. Even with deleting the app and starting again. It is as if no one bothers about this at all. Have you given up on these cameras? It looks like it. I have ten and have hoped you would be rectifying all the problems.
Ps I have tried ‘frustrated’ ‘unhappy’ and find these have already been used!

product with a potentialbut fails to deliver
Just purchased the In.Sight cameras (duo) yesterday. First thing first, I like the design and magnetic joint which is adjustable. That's about it. I downloaded the App, went throught the set-up proceedure (which was easy but took ages due to the slow software I reckon) and updated camera's firmware only to find out that I couldn't view the actual video. All I'm seeing is a still picture taken by each camera when I open the app but no live video stream. After some proper internet research all I was able to find was one feedback on Apple website suggesting that the App is currently not compatible with the latest iOS6. Ignoring the fact that I currently can't view video (which is the sole purpose of this product), the app looks outdated (no retina graphics), extremely slow and most importantly, there is no dedicated iPad app available in the App store. Which means that even if it worked, you have to put up with iPhone app on the iPad which quite frankly is simply awful. Also the resoluton of the cameras is far from great (judging from stills obviously). Given the relatively high price, I'm definitely not a happy customer!!! Given 2 stars only because I hope that the fix will arrive before my return period expires, otherwise I'm taking it back to the shop...

Good but still needs a little work to be perfect.
I bought the Philips InSight wireless home monitor about a year ago and I have 4x Cameras covering the Doors and Windows of my House because I am away a lot due to my job, I have found the installation and the iPhone App very useful and easy to navigate, especially the notification of an activation followed by a picture and a video clip sent to my phone with sound as long as I am connected to the web.
Its a great unit but sometimes I do come across some software issues that does not allow my phone app to play live video feed as it reports an error, I am sure Philips have this in hand but when there is a problem, I do get the feeling that Philips are either slow to resolve this or just cant be bothered, more software updates would be grateful please Philips. The possibility of sending my voice via my phone to a speaker on the camera would be fantastic.
Then it would be a fantastic unit instead of a good overall rating from me.
PS the bad comments I have seen look more like the people have not followed the correct setup process, and I would discount them. At the price you cant go wrong as long as you have a good internet provider :@}

Small and functional
This product is brilliant and does what it says on the pack. Yes, if you are impatient it can be tricky to set up, but compared to the newer and (much) bulkier 'HD' version I would choose this one every time!!
I have disguised one as a branch of a tree and obscured one as an ornament, all without affecting their functioning, so I'm delighted with them.
If you're new to them, READ the instructions, CHECK your wifi setup and be PATIENT during setting-up for success!
Glad also that the Dropbox security issue has been resolved, even though it took a little while!

Unreliable. What's the point
The idea is great but it just doesn't work. Furthermore, the user manuals and support are far too basic and unhelpful. I could never get both monitors to work at the same time and then both simply went "offline" with no hints as to why or what to do about it. I am taking this product back and demanding a refund.

Alerts and video play back
I love this affordable camera system and have had one for 17 months and another two for 5 months.
I use mine in variouse positions to keep an eye on our cats.
loved the alert and video play back but that hasn't worked now for more than 4 weeks.
Philips first said that dropbox had updated due to a security issue and the philips engineers were working on a solution for early may.
I contacted them again this week and am now told that the "issue is currently down to dropbox" so emailed the dropbox team and have had a lovely email back apologizing for the inconvenience and that philips engineers have been working on a solution.
Mean while I have put on hold my further purchase of another twin pack but I am still using live video which is handy to see if the boys are sleeping, eating or bringing in their own food to share with us such as like the duckling we rescued from being played to death with !
Looking forward to the philips team getting on top of this little glitch.

Home ip camera
I bought this camera by reason of price and brand plus the mode of operation, which seems to be different to many others.
Camera is neat and tidy in design and smaller than the others I use. I like it. But, I have a 200mbs fibre connection and this is easily the slowest to respond to view requests even on the same network, on mobile data it can take what I think is an unacceptable time to connect. When it does connect the view is clear and easy to see.
I like the on pc facility to view the camera and again another but. it is fraught with configuration issues I am reasonably tech aware and it flummoxed me. Reading helpfiles adds to the confusion. the main issue is Admin authority for the app to even install. It makes me wonder when these companies do their testing, probably in lab conditions rather than in a home user environment with slow upload speeds and temperamental routers and mobile phone issues.
It's a decent camera I won't be sending it back but will be exploring other options.

Limited value as a security device
As a security device this camera is quite limited. After set up it can send videos triggered by motion and/or noise to your DropBox account. However these videos are only approximately 15 seconds long; the longest I have seen was 20 seconds when motion was continuing past that time. The video recording strangely starts before the triggering motion happens, wasting usually about 50% of the recording time. If there is continuous motion for longer than the time of the original recording a new video is usually not immediately started. I have seen up to a 1 minute delay before the next video starts thus missing that much of the action. If the action triggering the recording lasts say approximately 30-60 seconds you may only get the first 10 seconds of the event recorded to your DropBox. One can only hope that all this is down to the software of the controlling App and that Phillips will take note and improve things.
Video quality is not very good even on a fast wi-fi connection and I guess might not always give adequate facial recognition if say a crime has been committed.
May be more useful if one just wants to remotely stream a short video to check up on what kids or perhaps sick or elderly person is doing when you are out of the room or home.
It is relatively simple to set up but the instruction leaflet is very basic and gives little help in making adjustments in the App. Phillips email support is abysmal if you run into technical problems, from my experience.
Casing and bracket are however very well designed.
