Philips Fideliowireless portable speaker

Great sound, good bass and middle and sweet treble, kind to music like valve amps were, weighs a kilo but batteries good for 6-8+ hours when bought. Still good for a few hours without replacing batteries, bought 28/11/2013, so an outstanding buy. Still sounds great, still charges well, not aged badly.

Great sound. Great function. Great design. Only thing you could now want is a slightly clearer blue tooth link. But in truth this is a great product. Use it camping all the time. Round the firepit it gives a beautiful tone and great volume.

Sounds fantastic. I'm no audiophile but we all hate tinny speakers. This is wonderful, ideal for kitchen, bedroom or taking on holiday. Used extensively at home for music and watching films on ipad, where the background sound effects can sometimes dominate the dialogue. Size, shape and portability are excellent. Wonderful feel to the materials, wood leather and aluminium, and the finish even a year later is unmarked. Two things I hate - it connects quickly via Bluetooth, but the next time you use it with the same device it does not connect. You spend hours turning off and on, doing the same with the Bluetooth on your iphone and ipad in the desperate wait for those connection bleeps. Secondly, as per the other reviews, using the 3.5mm cable to connect, it takes forever for the sound to come out of the speaker. It seems to prefer Bluetooth as a source, and seems to wait 20 seconds to find a Bluetooth source before taking sound through the cable. So meantime you're off and on with the device, trying to see if the volume is up enough or... Frustrating. Phillips, we need to be able to software update our products at home to eliminate these issues, something not available with this speaker. Don't let this put you off buying what is a fantastic speaker with superfluous quality and depth of sound.

Purchased the speaker in January 2014 at a good price. The purchase was made due to the outstanding reviews of this product. I was certainly not disappointed when I received it. The sound was amazing and it was very easy to use. The build quality was great and the fact that it weighs 1.3kg just reassures you that it is definitely a well built speaker. Having used it for a few days now the only thing I don't like is the fact that when using an iPod Classic and linking it with cable the "Pairing Lights" continue to flash all the time. There appears to be no way of turning bluetooth off when using a link cable. However I can live with that. Not sure why speaker is discontinued after about 13 or 14 months.

Well worth the investment. Quality sound from such a small box. Very well made.

Had me worried at first - initial hour it sounded terrible! Thankfully "loosens up" after a while. Can't fault it for it's size and portability.
