This has made my hands bareable
I have had hand Psoriasis for around 20 years, my hands were so painful cracked and sore that at times it reduced me to tears. The only thing that relieved the pain was to smother them in a mixture of Vaseline and sudocrem and put on surgical gloves. Not very practical for day to day. I have seen 2 different dermatologists and had uv light therapy twice. Endless different creams and ointments, but nothing ever lasted long. My Husband was researching treatments for me, after finding me in tears again, and came across this product, he sent off for it, without me knowing, and I have to say I was quite annoyed that he spent so much money on something that I really didn't think would work. As it has a 90 day money back guarantee, I thought what have I got to lose. Well I have been using it for around 6 weeks now and I can't believe the difference it has made to my hands. They aren't cleared by any means, but so much better, and the horrible pain and tightness has gone. I am continuing to use it every day, and time will tell how much my hands clear up and if the improvement lasts. Even the improvement I have now is so much better, not just the pain but the appearance as well. The only thing that would make it easier to use on the hands, would be a larger area to place the hand on, as I can't get my thumb on at the same time. Other wise it would be a straight 5 stars for everything. I would say to anyone thinking about it, try it out, what have you got on lose? And hopefully like me so much to gain.

Bad experience on this treatment
I have psoriasis for 20 years now and tried many treatment which don't help much. Expected that this gadget will do at least any improvement on my skin, but unfortunately it made it even worse. Used bluecontrol for 6 weeks, every single day for 30 min per patch. After 3rd week I noticed my skin becoming tanned and red. It caused inflammation to skin and it worsened psoriasis even more. The more I used, the worse it became. So I stopped using it after 6 weeks, because it was giving me inflammations and my arms skin was left with brown tanned patches, same as after sunbed ... My leg's skin was left red and burning after using it and expecting it gonna work.
When was reading positive feedbacks I was hoping that it will give me at least some positive effect to my skin, but unfortunately it did not. Had to return the product with their 90 days money back guarantee. So now you know my story that this device does not work on every skin type and even it can damage your skin !!!

Has not worked.
Tried this product for a number of weeks. Used on a daily basis as advised but unfortunately there has been no improvement at all. Returned item under 90 day money back trial and money was refunded.

Finally - something that honestly works
I have had psoriasis for seventeen years now. Over the course of that period I have spent hundreds of pounds on creams, lotions sourced from Australia, Peru, Egypt, tablets, diets, homeopath, meditation, yoga lessons, advice etc.. you get the picture. My Dad would cut out articles from magazines and newspapers, citing the latest 'cure' for psoriasis, sending them to me with a note attached - 'maybe this is it?'.
Needless to say, it was never 'it'. After all, how can you find a cure when you don't really know what causes it?
So, I was left with Dovobet and diprobase as my long term companions on my psoriasis journey.
I had basically given up. I was fed up of trying miracle cures, only to be left disappointed, time after time after time.
I was on Twitter one day and stumbled across another psoriasis sufferer who was singing the praises of this Philips Blue Light.
Naturally, I was skeptical. I had heard it all before. The only things I thought were interesting was that Philips (I brand I know and trust) was involved (Why would they release something if it didn't work?) and that it was a blue light. I had heard of UV light (I treatment denied to me because my P doesn't cover more than 30% of my body) but never 'blue light'. How on earth could that help? I just didn't really understand it.
But, I kept thinking about it. I ummed and ahhed about it all for weeks. Was it really worth me bothering with what could be another snake oil treatment branded with a Philips logo?
I did some more research and found a bunch of other users who had found good results with it.
After more careful consideration, I bought the unit. It's not cheap. And I was hoping beyond hope that I wasn't making a mistake.
That was back in April.
When the unit arrived, I was surprised how small and light it was. It strapped comfortably to my leg (main psoriasis problem zone) and after switching it on... well, that was it. The blue light turns on and then you just get on with your day, without having to wash your hands or be careful you don't get ointment covered limbs on any fabric.
It feels kind of warm on your skin, but it doesn't hurt or make a noise in any way. Just beeps when your thirty minute treatment time is up and then you move it to another area. One full charge (takes about four hours) will give you two hours worth of treatment time, so enough for four patches.
After a couple of weeks of daily use (30 minutes p/plaque is recommended time), I started to notice changes in my skin.
1- not as dry. This was a big plus for me. I can handle the redness, but I hate the dry skin layering up. The Philips Blue Light significantly reduced the dryness of my psoriasis.
2 - not as itchy. Luckily, itchiness is not a big problem for me, but I do get itchy knees, where my P is a little thicker. The Blue Light again hit the mark and itch was reduced.
3 - flatter patches. Maybe it's just me, but my psoriasis has a kind of 3D quality (quality and P don't normally go in the same sentence!) to it. I notice it when I am wearing tights, I can see raised areas on my legs where my plaques are. I hate it. With this Philips unit, the plaques were flatter. MUCH flatter - almost to the point of normal skin level.
4 - lighter patches. After several more weeks, I noticed something else. The colour was changing. Finally! It was turning a pink colour, not the angry red I had been so used to.
5 - patch size reduced. This is the holy grail of any psoriasis suffer. Finally, after a few weeks of every day use, I did see a reduction in size of the patches. Or rather, the patches were turning into smaller patches, and in some cases, just spots.
So, does it work? Yes. Does it cure your psoriasis and make it disappear? No. At least, it hasn't for me, not yet anyway. But I am still in the early months of using it and am happy to continue to do so, as I am still getting a huge amount of relief and seeing continued improvement in my skin.
I am now also using two more of the newer units (larger and more comfy than this one), but this is still an excellent piece of kit. This is my first blue light, so will always have a space in my heart.
Finally, I can honestly say I have found something that works. If, like me, you are a psoriasis sufferer who is at the end of their tether, after road testing countless products, believe me, I know how you feel. This product will almost certainly help you. I would not recommend something to a fellow P sufferer unless I thought it was worth it. Please believe me when I tell you this is.

I have been using Bluecontrol for a year now , and have to say I'm amazed by the results it has given me.
Being a mild psoriasis sufferer for over 20 years i have pretty much tried everything on the market ,
Bluecontrol has none of the greasy side side effects of typical streriod creams and none of the nasty side effects of uv treatment , which is a massive plus in my book .
My plaques have reduced I no longer have any flakiness and along with that no itching
If you have plaque psoriasis this product is a bit of a no brainer

Great evolution of light treatment, poor design.
I was very interested in using the new blue light technology, as the uvb treatment obviously has higher risks of skin damage. The uvb treatment pretty much clears my skin so I was very hopeful when I ordered the blue control device. I couldn't really comment on the effectiveness of the new blue light technology as the machine wouldn't work for me- the machine has to be 100% flat against your skin or it won't switch on. My lower legs and arms are slimmer than the widest part of the machine so the machine wouldn't switch on, the straps were useless and too big for my arms and lower legs. The blue pouch is cumbersome and there's no way you could walk around and carry on as normal. The unit needs constant charging and the sensors are overly sensitive, switching the machine off at normal skin temperatures. I hope Philips continue to develop the blue light technology, I would certainly try a blue light non-wearable machine. I think the shape of the machine is wrong and the fact it won't switch on unless flat against the skin, which doesn't work for curved areas like legs, elbows, lower arms, hands. The instructions could be improved also.

Great product suitable for everyone
Best home product by a mile. Does a better job than the creams and can be used anywhere anytime. Improvements can be seen within weeks of commencing the treatment.

It has helped me!
I have been using this product for 17 months now and have had some excellent results.
Although not an overnight cure and as fellow sufferers you understand there is no cure Blue Control has helped with me leaving skin all over the house, I have had one patch completely disappear so my wife doesn't have to keep following me around with the vacuum so in that respect it has helped both of us.
