Good, but missing some featuresAs a long-term user of Philips shavers featuring the built-in gel dispensing systems, when spares for my faithful 8420 became unavailable (why, Philips?) I decided on this shaver at Christmas 2016 as being likely to give the most comfortable shave of the current range.
After 2 months of use, I'm impressed by the battery life and the charging time, and the trimming head works well, while the shave itself is a little closer than my old razor - although you would expect that, as those heads had done nearly 2 years.
My main gripe is the need to apply pre-shave gel manually, and another annoyance is that I haven't been able to find a gel that comes even close to the Nivea pre-shave balm used in the 8420. Another minor gripe is the size of the surrounds to the heads, which make it difficult to achieve a close shave around lips and nose. The shaver does not have a stand, but my old charging stand has been pressed into use - though not for charging.
Overall, this a well-designed shaver, robust and easy to grip, and head cleaning is a doddle. Nice case, too. But if Philips ever introduce a direct replacement for the 8000 series, this one will become an immediate stand-by. In the meantime, it does a pretty good job.

Poor value for moneyThe design feature which requires removing the shaving head to replace with the trimming head is not a good feature. Much better to have a beard trimmer as a flip-up device on the razor.
The shaving head with the click-on feature is something I would definitely avoid in futiure purchases. The head falls off constantly when in use. A positive lock feature would remedy this.
In terms of shaving performance, it's no better than shavers a third of the price.
I do not recommend this product for reasons of price design features or performance.

Gone back to my older Philips shaver, it's much better!!I have persevered with the Series 7000 shaver but I have had to give up and go back to my old one. Even though it needs replacement blades it still gives a more complete shave than the 7000. Might be smooth and sensitive but that's no use if it doesn't get all the hairs. A big disappointment, I've used Philips shavers for 40 odd years all told and this is the first one to under-perform. Very disappointing.

A lot of money for something that doesn’t work properly. Is missing a lot of hairs so it takes a lot of time to shave with a red skin result. Has a great battery but I prefer the old models with not good battery but perfect shave. I’m not giving again 150 pounds for a philips. It’s time for me to change a brand.

7000I have the 7000 as a replacement to my excellent 920/19 the 7000 is missing the the three track floating head systems, which means the shave is inadequate and i it takes me two to three times as long to shave, the build quality is poor in comparison and to remove the inbuilt hair trimmer is a step backwards, let's see how robust the new click systems lasts, the cheap plastic head does not have a flip up head you have to detach it there seems to be no drain holes after you rinse it and no charging stand is provided. I have been purchasing Phillips shavers since I was weaned on them by my father and the 7000 is a let down.

Poor design of headPhilishave shavers used to be well designed. No longer is is possible to easily replace the heads and the retaining rings. I made the mistake of buying a 7000; remove the orange circlar rings so that you can clean the head and will be impossible to get the rings back in place. Instructions come with pictures that apply to a multitude of models which don't seem to guide you through the cutter removal and replacement procedures. Impossible to use without the orange rings.

Fantastic shaver for sensitive skinEasy and simple to understand instructions were included in the box. I love the additional extras of the beard trimmer and face brush which are included with the Series 7000 shaver! Both are a real bonus. The face brush was of great use. It’s handy for exfoliating your skin and prepping the hair pre-shave. The travel case that's included for the shaver unit is also fab. I was a little disappointed that the shaver come with no charge at all on taking it out of the box, as most electricals these days will come with at least some charge in them.
When it comes to shaving, it was an extremely comfortable shave. There was no sensation of tugging at the longer hairs, as I’ve experienced this with numerous other electric shavers, so I’m glad to have finally found one which doesn’t add unnecessary discomfort. Post-shave I can honestly say there was no ‘razor burn’ sensation at all, which as someone with extremely sensitive skin I’m used to feeling. One slight negative while using the shaver, is that it can sometimes prove to be quite difficult to grip onto while wet if you’re planning to use it in the shower, although it’s not a major flaw when compared to its almost flawless shave for a sensitive electric shaver. The battery life is also great. I’ve been using it for around 10 days so far and haven’t needed to re-charge the shaver yet...
